RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

The size of 13 wasn't the problem, it's that having a hodgepodge of different scares ruined the experience.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

My friend received a survey asking if you would be willing to play for howl-o-scream and have Christmastown included. They may be feeling out the public regarding a portion of howl-o-scream being pay for like "Alone" at Tampa.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I will be willing to pay more on my two year pass that I renewed this October to get Christmastown included.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

The houses at Tampa seemed cool (I didn't go, so I have no idea if they really were). Do you think that they could "move" a house up to BGW if they wanted to? Or has this been done before?

Anyway, I vote to at least keep Fear Fair and Deadline, but improve them.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I agree, they need to make the houses scarier. BGW should keep Fear Fair and Dead Line and add other houses. They should also add a house like "Alone" in Tampa.

Two houses this year were designed by Tampa talent.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Deadline and Fear Fair were probably the closest things BGW has ever had that in some way resembled Tampa. Since I have never been to Tampa I can't really judge but by what I have heard, I think you have Tampa houses as super scary, Deadline and Fear Fair as potentially scary, and then BGW houses as okay scary.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

But couldn't BGW use a house that was previously in Tampa? You know, ship the materials and whatever up? Of course they wouldn't be exactly the same, but I really like the concepts of the Tampa houses this year, and I wish I could see some of them up here too.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

supposedly, both parks had the same theme this year, but it seemed like they had different houses though

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

BGW seems to like to stick to the European theme with their houses, even if only slightly; whereas Tampa just makes generic horror themed houses. "The Dark Side of the Gardens" may have been a shared theme, but wasn't specific enough to warrant the same style of attractions at both parks.

Freak shows were very common in Europe, and Fear Fair really was a freak show type haunted house. 13 was the only house I didn't see fit the European theme which I was not too pleased with. At least Deadline fit the Italian theme, sorta.

Clark Griswold style lights included on an AP in exchange for HoS as an upcharge? I'll pass. Xmastown is BARELY worth one visit, HoS is worth several. Once again, passholders are getting the shaft.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

They really should either charge for both events, or make both events free. I would gladly pay a little bit more for a Season pass if both events were free.

I feel charging for one and having the other free is always going to upset someone. Might as well do the same for both.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

This might be a dumb question, but....

Why can't there be a pass setup where the passholder picks what special event they would like for free?

i.e.--You want HOS on your pass, you got it....but if you want Christmas Town, you have to pay, and vice-versa.

Would that be possible?
