Fridays are the day to go. Of the three days they have the lowest crowd. Last Friday was outstanding! Check the forecast ahead of time as well. If it is going to even be slightly overcast Friday or Sunday then the GP will freak and stay home.
 
Fridays are always the best day to go.

1: Crowds. Always the least busy day of Howl-O-Scream.

2: People. Maybe it's just me, but whenever I go on Saturdays I find the rudest people in the park. Last Saturday I used a Coaster Tour QQ at LNM and some guy literally cussed me out. The kicker? I used it for a row that no one was even in line for. Wait, it gets better: He was using child swap.

3: Environment. The lack of crowds and lines allows you to just stroll around and enjoy the day instead of rushing from one thing to another trying to get everything done.
 
So here's an idea I was thinking about when I was thinking about BG making HoS a pay event. Maybe set up some buildings at WCUSA and have a paid HoS event there that's 18+.
 
That would have to be a pretty cheap event, or have a butt load of houses/scare zones.
 
I'm fine with a lot of stuff, I'm thinking that it would be the best way. I'm thinking that this might be a good way to appease the most people.
 
Cool. Thanks to those who responded. I figured Friday would be the day, just wanted to double check with the BG pros. haha.

This weekend's weather looks pretty awesome......some sunshine and fall temps. Excited.

"BG Pro's" translation: Terrible weekend to go to Howl-O-Scream. ;) You should be fine on Friday though. Someone posted their recommendation for a plan of attack somewhere around here. I highly suggest following it if the park looks like it's starting to get busy.
 
Busch garden is great but its also way to busy. Like i went to kings dominions halloween haunt on friday and let me tell you its WAY better then busch. So dont waste your time at busch gardens and go to kings dominion for there haloween event:)
 
I haven't had any problems on a Friday. By your statement though we can conclude which is preferred by park goers.

Yea but even on a saturday there like nobody at kings dominion but im not trying to say nothing bad about busch there an amazing park.
 
No one at Kings Dominion on a Saturday? Have you been on a Saturday? Last Saturday they did over 37,000 people.

Quality of the parks and rides of substance for that matter speaks volumes. I have been the past three Fridays to HoS. None of which were anywhere near unbearable for any maze/show/ride. I was there Saturday three weeks ago and that was unbearable starting on the exit ramp. Sundays as well are not bad. I have been the past two Sundays. While it has been more guests than Fridays it will was not bad. I will take a bit more of a crowd to deal with a quality and class park.
 
In all honesty, Friday is the best day to go. Its empty during the days, and the least crowded at nights. Saturday is the worst, and surprisingly, Sunday is up there with Saturday.

Yea but kings dominion is WAY bigger then busch and holds almost twice that and also isint tightly packed in

I call bull on this one.
We went to haunt sunday the 9th and it was packed we had to buy the fright passes to do everything.

Back to HOS went the first day and it wasnt to bad we will probably be going this friday to finsh up what we didnt get to do last time.

I'll second that, this was my experience over the past weekend. There was still a pretty long line for 13 on Friday night, we skipped it and went to it first on Sunday night instead. Bitten was the second longest on Friday night, was about a 45 min wait by the time we got in line. The other three we got through fairly quickly.
