I went yesterday and did the All-Access Insider Tour. It was well worth the 70 dollars. The walk through of Dead Line was reall cool, and you could see all of the detail, which unless you are looking you wouldn't see in the dark. The reserved Fiends seating at Fiends was awesome and the meet and greet with the cast was alot of fun. The dinner was obviously great, and I loved the eye ball cupcake. Front of the line to the mazes is always nice and Monster Stomp Revamped seats were awesome! Oh and the make-up thing was cool, except the blood hurt since it was so hot haha. A great tour guide also helped!

I know my adjectives in that post sucked, but I am still tired from walking around.... haha

Over all I loved Howl-O-Scream, it was my first visit and it was pretty amazing. I think some of the scare zones could have been done better but other than that, it was amazing.

Are any of the haunted houses open earlier in the day like years past? Also, which if any house is most suitable for younger visitors. My son is interested in going into one of the houses this year.

I dont think so, im not sure though, and i would say Bitten

none of the houses are open early...everything opens at or around 6pm...and as far as kids go it would really depend on how scared they are of haunted houses...I would avoid catacombs, 13, and fear fair....bitten is not as scary as it was in years past and deadline seems to be lacking...awesome theming, but lacking in the scare group region....

In regard to the park closing admission on Saturday nights due to maximum capacity. If I got to the park at 10 AM, bought the Quick Que Unlimited Pass for the day, rode the rides until around 4 PM, and then left to go to dinner what happens if I come back to the park around 6 PM and it is closed due to max. capacity, can I get back in to the park or not?

You are out of luck. When you leave through the turnstile then you are no longer in the park. That spot is given to someone else.

What time should I be in the park by to avoid being locked out this Saturday? We plan on going to the park in the morning and riding rides, then go back to the hotel to freshen up and rest a bit before the Howl-O-Scream activities start.

Don't leave. Just plan on a long day or maybe go at noon at the latest. Trust me.

You'd probably have to pay me a good chunk of money to go this Saturday, especially with the weather forecast like it is.

Since we will be stuck not being able to leave the park on Saturday for dinner, does anyone have any recommendations on places to eat dinner in the park? Are there any special dining venues for Halloween worth visiting?

If you've never been, the festhaus kaffe in the back of the festhaus is a nice little secluded place that not a lot of people use. They have sandwich platters and stuff like that. I'm not sure of the exact menu, but I always enjoy going there. Plus you can get a beer sampler there too.

Oh and regarding tours, I did the "ultimate" tour at BGT last thursday for HOS. We got some one on one time with Scott Swenson. It was pretty awesome. I say hold the cupcake and makeup on our tour and let us talk/listen to Phil Raybourn. That was probably the highlight of the tour. (well besides the beer at the zombie free zones) I'll work on a trip report soon (just got back and have work to do). Got a lot of cool things to share. Not sure how to do it though, as I spent a week down there and went to BGT, Seaworld, Aquatica, Universal, IoA, HoS, and HHN (oh and FUNSPOT!). I don't really want to break it up so maybe one trip report, just lots of posts.

How did HHN compare with HOS at Tampa and Williamsburg? I was thinking about going to HHN next October, it will be the first time there since 2001. How would you rate them in order 1, 2, and 3?

They all offer something different and I enjoyed all of them. I'll go into detail when I put up my trip report (busy at work now, off tomorrow so I'll put it up then), but if you held a gun to my head... 1: BGT's HOS, 2: HHN, 3: BGW's HOS based on my overall experience this year.
