RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

Im more interested in if Big Ben will play into the story throughout the two parks.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

I'm wondering that too. Why is Ben on BGT's site? We're in the same time zone, what if something happens at each park at the same time, like if they added a 13 to the clock and when it strikes that, shiz goes nuts-at both parks. 13th Anniversary.

I wish they did have the creativeness to pull this off. Why not? Less development needed. Could we finally get a new icon this year?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

I think perhaps the "same theme" is being taken a bit too literally; "The Dark Side of the Gardens" is simply that: each park's respective dark side. The HOS home pages are just a creative way of elaborating on this year's catch phrase... and a shared slogan is a great way to mass produce the same logo merchandise for both parks.

I think so, because it seems like if there wasn't, it would be pointless to have it as their logo for the card.

I don't think so, last year they had a figure like jack ripper, but he wasn't the theme or even appeared in the event.

Don't be naive. The director of HoS said those lines to anyone and everyone. Busch has a huge success with how they run HoS. There will be no MAJOR changes.

He knew who I was by my comments. I didn't tell him I was a member of this site, nor did I say any thing about my alias. We talked for a minute and he said "You're Youhow arent you?"... I was shocked to say the least. To say they don't pay close attention to all facets of their criticism is naive, cause if he could tell who I was by a few minutes of talking matching my comments together and remembering my username... I'd say they pay VERY close attention. And then not to mention the change to Jack is Back... They changed the whole show in a week, added new dancers, bought back the dudes on stilts, Took out single ladies by Beyonce( THANK GOD) and changed other songs.... I'd like to believe that the public outcry on facebook at least had a bit to do with that.

So whilst you guys may think im just being plain ignorant, I have my reasons to believe the park, like any good business gathers all the feedback they can receive. Whether they do something or not with it is a different story...

Scientific surveys > Facespace ramblings.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

It really is hard taking the facebook population seriously. People might pay attention if somebody brings up a complaint about a poorly trained employee (with video), but overall it's just mass-idiocy. I think that they might pay closer attention to this place than facebook.

Remember that "behind the scenes" Howl-O-Scream Q&A session and special invite thing that took place? Yeah, they invited people who they noticed from their facebook wall...

And? The majority were just contributors to their Facebook and not complainers. It was also a mediated event. Not facebook ramblings.

On that note this thread is not for debating the authenticity of Facespace ramblings. If you want to continue that then feel free to make a thread in Member's Section. Otherwise let's get this back on track.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

As fascinating as the debate of 'facebook vs surveys' may be, I think it really depends on the specific employee involved, not the park as a whole. Some insiders may visit facebook more often, some may be in departments in which a survey may or may not provide sufficient info, if any...

Regardless of how the park decision-makers get their feedback, they do (to a point) take it into consideration.

See my above quote on the matter. This needs to get back on topic.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

The Jack is Back situation was a little different- They had a mass-outcry like they've never had before. Like I said before, I see just as much wrong with Howl-O-Scream as you do, Youhow, but I really don't think the park is planning on doing anything to fix it.

I think they do as well. Too bad it has to be so one-sided.

Just about everything I posted on their wall was in some way shape or form a criticism of HOS. Why would they invite a "complainer" to their event?

And please tell me why I need to make another thread to discuss this, it was bought up specifically relating to HOS. Im not really talking about any other time of the year, just HOS. This debate is bringing activity to this specific thread. It would just be a few random post of speculation until the next data drop.

I close with saying I just think it's crazy to assume no one from the park pays attention to the criticisms on the FB page, especially with how many they got for HOS. HOS was the most flamed thing on the page while it was going on last year. It would just be dumb on their part to ignore...

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

Wow, everybody seems like their arguing, lets just talk about future Howloscream and not dot on Howloscream of the past. I myself am very excited for Howloscream.:p
I think that the theme will be very good, whats not to love? Zombies and creepy gardens. Awesome

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

With roughly ten weeks til Howl-O-Scream (including this one) and 11 of the mystery numbers remaining (3 - 13), we can probably expect about one "leak" (?) per week...

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

Going by the fact that there haven't been any other updates, I'm thinking that they'll slowly release bits then dump the rest at a certain date.
