Seriously now, stop being jerk and assuming im not reading the thread or know anything about the new information. Also, no one will know how scary it will be until it opens... Your calling me out on a opinion someone is promising you'll take away from an experience...

That is what I am referring to. Throughout the ENTIRE thread there are numerous other things in this thread that are not within the pst few or even 10 pages. If you go back and read you will see an outline of the scarezones throughout the park, not just Germany. An instant assumption that comes across as "uninformed" (whether it is or not.. I do not know) is going to annoy me. The thread clearly states all throughout from the first several pages that although a lot of things will remain the same BUT on steroids. I am sorry for being offensive but please take a good look through the thread and see all of the information that is contained within. Just a few pages does not get the point across that is made clear by a few individuals.

Take a good luck through the thread and you will see that it is going to be MUCH better.

Welcome to the site btw Youhow. I am usually very nice :)

Swifty, I am looking for the post that says that it will be cranked up QUITE A BIT

Ive read through the thread almost in its entirety... Im telling you What I picked up from this thread so far "some revamping, some new, the scare is everywhere"

You are misunderstanding what Im saying, Im assuming everyone on here has been following the information... I assume everyone knew "the scare is everywhere". Saw no reason to put this into my generalization of the structure of the houses. If they Cram half of the haunted attractions into one area the lines will be horrible...

I really see nothing other than the hiring of more Scareactors indicating that it will be better than last year...

im looking at HOS like this: i'd rather BGW keep everything from last year and improve on what they know needs to be improved and come out with a better product instead of going with something new and fresh with the risk of it completely sucking.

i dont see where everyone gets off saying last year was horrible, i think it was the best year in awhile except for the scarezones, they gave us three PREMIUM mazes two DECENT mazes and only one misfire...if they take the time to beef this up, we will have 6 of the greatest haunted attractions ever made... also, you can already tell things will be different... the queue to Bitten this year is ripped and torn where last year it was prisitine, maybe somethings gone amuck inside this vampire sanctuary... just a little observation... it wont be the exact same as last year...

Heck, i was sattisfied when i heard they were getting a chance to improve Catacombs and Hunted which in my oppinion Rivaled Halloween Horror Nights Orlando, which isnt easy for me to say...

honestly, all there is to do is speculate on whats to come, dont be debbie downers until you've walked through the mazes, after that, if you still think it was bad.. dont go back, there are plenty of other haunts for you to check out... but there is ZERO percent chance that i will be dissatisfied with Howl-O-Scream this year!!!

honestly, couldnt have said it better myself, but my three paragraphs were more about me blowing off steam after reading so many people hatin' on HOS!

Catacombs last year was awesome for me, especially for a new maze. I am stoked for HoS this year. As I said before, October and all that it entails is my favorite time of year... er other than Thanksgiving

Chris, any idea why I have random quotes from the past popping up whenever I quote?

The entrance to Bitten was ripped and morbid looking last year too. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if they're reusing the exact velvet liners from last year. I'll throw in my opinion on all this HOS madness tomorrow, it's gonna be a long post, and tonight I'm too tired to confuse you all.

"CLEARLY THE SAME!"

ahem, sorry, just like being right :p:D

oh and yes, the video was made on the bgwfans youtube!!

To be perfectly honest, it could be just the lighting, but it looks like the fabric this year is different from last years.

Ugh, well I typed up an epic post, but my browser went backwards...

Anyway my main point is BGE lacked in quite a few areas that other places that do not have the same reputation as BGE excelled in, and continue to excel in yearly. BGE doesnt deserve to be excused, they are an amazing park... Lackluster haunts where you cant even distinguish the scarezones at is horrible for a world-class themepark.
If it wasnt for the actors, could you even tell where the scare zones start and end last year at BGE?

I'll tell you if they took away ALL the actors at KD, you'd still recognize the scarezones. When BGE is lacking that bad, something needs to be done, and my whole point by posting what they are doing wrong and whats bad is so people can see where I hope they improve, and what im personally gonna be looking for. BUT from the info I have recieved, it seems its not gonna be that good. I hope they did more than add more scare actors... That doesnt make a scarezone.

I really just think that the Haunt at KD and HOS at BGW can't be compared. They're two different animals. The Haunt is obviously more targeted toward the scares and the young crowd, whereas HOS clearly still wants to attract the families and remain a kid-friendly park. I know we all want bigger and better scares, which are supposedly coming, but until then, I feel like the comparisons to the Haunt are inaccurate and unnecessary. Sorry for that, but it's very early in the morning where I am, and I may still be a bit cranky. :)

BGW will ALWAYS be a good haunt. Something is magical with that park transforming into Howl-O-Scream. Everything is perfect and realistic as for the decor. And I am happy about the mazes not changing, infact. The only thing that was bad about last year was the Actors in Cursed, Cavern of Darkness Lighting, and Catacombs length, and even so, it wasn't nearly anything I could call a problem, just opinions. The only thing that was bad last year was the Scare Zones, and clearly this issue is the main thing being addressed this year and I am excited to see on how it'll turn up.

yea, why do people keep comparing HOS to Haunt? Haunt for one, has NINE MAZES, HOS only has SIX, Haunt has always had AMAZING scarezones and HOS has alway had lackluster ones... i guess my point is stop comparing the two, because quite frankly, they CANNOT be compared... (YET)

*Whispers* MMMU, you just compared them...

Just thought I'd point that out, however, I think I know what you mean. BGW's Howl-O-Scream and KD's Haunt have two completely different "target crowds". They can be compared, however, one must remember that they are made to be different. Haunt is pure scares, Howl-O-Scream is, just like everything else at Busch, made to be an experience. It seems as though this year they are focusing even more on the environment aspect of the holiday. As I said before, if Busch can pull this off with pre-Europe in the Air quality, it will be an amazing event. Lets hope they can.

I agree completely.

I don't see why everyone is hating on Howl-O-Scream and saying Haunt is better. For one, we all enjoy the atmosphere of our favorite part, Busch Gardens, two for the price you pay for a weekend in Howl-O-Scream is unbeatable. For 3 Days it costs you what, $60? For Kings Dominion it costs $60 for 2 Days. Personally, the crowd which Howl-O-Scream brings is better than the one Haunt brings. If you expected Busch Gardens to become a place where your always running for your life, and you always have to deal with a rowdy crowd. Your going to the wrong event, go to Haunt. Howl-O-Scream is a great event which has been year-to-year enjoyable for me. I've drove down to Virgina for 10 hours from New York JUST TO VISIT BGW Howl-O-Scream. If I didn't enjoy this, I'd go somewhere like Six Flags. If you don't enjoy this event I'm sorry, there's plenty other places to go. You may be disappointed by this years turn out. But I HIGHLY doubt you can tell me its not worth your time and/or money. Because it is.

I never have been disappointed with HOS. I get to go to BGW one time a year :( If I didn't like HOS, I would go in the Spring when the lines are down, and the crowd. After attending my first HOS 4 years ago, I have never attended again in the Spring! I love HOS, and it's an event that I want to attend every year. Also, if you don't like HOS then why are you following to thread on it? Something just doesn't add up.

the thread not to
