I just went yesterday and it was awsome. It was my first howl o scream and they did a great job. I didnt really like fraken rock all that much and left after a couple minutes to get in line for bitten, hunted, and harvest hallow.

okay, so i just got back from HOS with a friend of mine. Here's my reviews of the mazes/scarezones/shows.

*The Webs* I put this first so i can get it over with. Talk about an EPIC FAIL. I have never seen a scare zone THAT BAD. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. This wasn't even a scare zone. No actors at all as far as we saw and we had to pass through a couple of times to get to our destination. Just a bunch of stupid spiders flying above your head and giant spiderwebs. Absolute waste of park space. It would've been better just to make it pitch black and have people jump out at you from the darkness. That would've been scarier. Not even worth the money on the decorations. Worst excuse for a scare zone.

No disrespect, but I must disagree with you about the webs. I noticed a lot guests walking from France toward the webs and then stopping, not wanting to continue. Many thought they could just go around by walking up behind the aviary. I think it's a subtle scare that plays on people's fears of spiders, webs and confinment, especially when it was darker with the addition of fog.

Maybe they improved it since i went because we went opening weekend and theres always glitches openeing weekend. But when we went through it the spiders were bouncing up and down which made them look extremely fake etc. I only go once a yr for HOS because it gets old after a while and the lines get miserably long so it has probably improved since the night we went.

Catacombs was the best, actually all the mazes were good, i just dont like fraken rock.

Well the fire station down the street had to come into the park twice within a few hours, so an interesting night.

Just as an FYI, we noticed last weekend that they started selling BG travel mugs at alot of the drink stands for coffee, hot cocoa, and hot cider. You can refill them for .99. We took our Christmas Town mugs from last year with us last night and they refilled them for us for .99. ;)

It's reopened now.

I'm loling at the people on facebook who are whining because the park HAS to close. If you get turned around, chill in Williamsburg for awhile then try again later, or try to see if you can find an open spot in overflow parking.

I'm not sure if I'll get back to HOS again this season. Oh well. I've already got my Christmas Town tickets, and I am really looking forward to it.

Just curious, where is "Overflow Parking"?
