What's the deal are the stables getting a new fence in the back or new grass? Those damn sheep seem to eat a lot of it. Lol
My conversations with the animal handlers is: New fence, fixed irrigation, perimeter underdrains and grass.
They let the old fence go without repairs, because they knew a replacement fence was coming. None know what type of fence. They think it will be wood.

Fence was up on 3/22/2025. Looks really nice and a lot more sturdy than the old one.

Still in quarantine and not announced yet but BG has a new little highland ciw on site.
Props to BGW for continuing to invest in the highland cattle exhibit. It’s one of their less celebrated animal exhibits, and it’s not deeply rooted in the park’s history (pretty sure it was added in the 2010s?), so you’d think this is one of their expenses the bean counters looking at the spreadsheets would consider cutting.
But it’s such a lovely and unexpected exhibit, a great piece of genuinely immersive theming for Heatherdowns, and of course the cows are friggin adorable.

Fir the record the moo tour has been one if their most popular experiences. I am sure that is a huge help in making the case for continuing to bring in more cows as needed.
Missed opportunity not naming it DarKowster.
Thistle died in June so they need another one to accompany Poppy as highland cows thrive better in pairs or more.
