Is there even music in LotD? I have never noticed.

Yes, they play instrumental nursery rhymes, and folk-songs, mostly. Although, it can usually only be heard in the treehouse.

Speaking of this excellent music theming, has anyone ever noticed the music played in the exit hallway of Europe in the Air? Can anyone ID it? I'm a big film-score / ambient music buff, and it sounds familiar, but I can't place it. It's very uplifting, dramatic movie music.

The music and the Europe in the air queue is hard to identify with SoundHound or Shazam. That's because the entire soundtrack in the queue line is a mix match of several different film scores. Some of the song samples are only five seconds long, literally.
I can list a few of the songs that they take samples from: Paulie's Big Flight: from Paulie, and The Final Game: from Rudy.

Actually, I have a very old record album from like 1979 of "This is Oktoberfest!" It was a recording of one of the shows. I don't know how my Grandma got it a long time ago. The record cover has A TON of pictures of Germany and Oktoberfest at the time. It's a pretty cool album.

I have a CD that seems to be basically the same thing (Except for the fact that it's a CD) and advertises the 20th anniversary of the park. I might upload a picture of the cover soon.

"'This Is Oktoberfest!'

featuring
Bob Bauman
'Der Burgermeister'
and Busch Gardens' Fabulous
Festhaus Band and Dancers"

I will try to upload pics of the album soon too. It is REALLY cool.

RE: In-Park Music

Hey, I just went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg two days ago, and I wanted to know the name of the song that plays on the bridge between Rhinefeld and Festa Italia. Thanks.

RE: In-Park Music

It's called "Good Night from the Gardens", its a custom composed track for BGW and is on the elusive "Illuminights Soundtrack" that was only for sale the first season of Illuminights, good luck finding it on eBay! I'm sure someone on the forums has a copy though.

RE: In-Park Music

^ Shane: They still have that soundtrack available in the park. You have to look for it. I spotted several last Sunday (7-14) in Emerald Isle Gifts and on the CD rack in the Christmas room in the German gift shop. I was surprised to see them still available.

RE: In-Park Music

The "We Bought a Zoo" song that plays as you enter the park is great. I remember hearing it while standing next to Guest Relations, and just thinking that it fits.

There's some deep explanation behind this but it's late - so that'll be tomorrow.

RE: In-Park Music

Can someone give me a list of the modern pop songs they play in Oktoberfest/Rhinefeld in the afternoon? A friend of mine wants to know, and after e-mailing the park about it, he was denied any info.

P.S. If they have different afternoon songs for Illuminights, we'd prefer those.

RE: In-Park Music

Here are three more tracks that I have discovered that play in the ticketing and entrance area. There are more tracks that I have yet to discover.

I think so far these tracks fit Busch Gardens perfectly and really embody the branding that was introduced at the beginning of the 2013 season.

I especially love the "Love and Be Loved" track.

RE: In-Park Music

Here is a picture of the CD rack in the German Gifts Christmas room. Note the bottom, shelf. It's full up of Illuminights CDs. Get'em while you can.

I took this photo last night (7-19-2013).

RE: In-Park Music

I found two more common artists they play in Oktoberfest. They are: Rosentolz and Alex De.
Some songs include: Bitte geh' nich fort, Du warst immer bei mir, and Achterbahn.

RE: In-Park Music

Why is Busch Gardens so secretive about the songs that are playing over the PA system? Back in the A-B days they had pre-printed sheets with lists of the music.

There were a couple songs played in Oktoberfest that I liked but they said the info was "proprietary"

RE: In-Park Music

That, plus the fact that they can hardly ever afford to pay for rights to use the music. You may notice that during Howl-O-Scream, most of the music is from bad movies or TV shows. They assume if it's a bad movie, or TV show, most people won't recognize it. Busch Gardens Tampa even uses video game music during Howl-O-Scream (most of which can't be identified with any music identification apps).

RE: In-Park Music

I recently went to Busch and while in Italy, near the Flying machine and Battering ram, I heared a song that sounded VERY MUCH like Josh Groban, but I don't believe it's him...It sounds like a very familiar song to classical music folk, which I am not one of. Anyone know anything?
