Very interested—particularly re: timing and "an IP house" vs IP at the event. The specific wording for those questions would be great to see.

I am VERY onboard with an upcharge house/show/walk-through/escape room/other immersive experience being ADDED to the event. Caro's last year was legitimately world-class and no where near enough of the thoosie space experienced it for how fucking great it was.

Medievil might be the absolute biggest pipe dream imaginable, and unfortunately the least recognizable IP there by a wide margin along with Limbo/Inside, but I assure you I would absolutely show up for it. Anything to get Sony to potentially look at a future for one of the best dead IPs in gaming (sadly I've given up on Crash and Spyro at this point).

Just Idea/Vibe hunting for originals to mirror. One video of how shitty the MM Saw maze will tell a rightsholder all they need to know. Don’t think even Conjuring Beyond Fear will inspire much confidence

I'd like to see an IP no one has done before. I don't think they can pull off a FNAF house after HHN's....it would never come close or it would just look like a copycat. I'd still do it, I just feel like it would be a store brand vs. name brand feel. In fact, if it's been at HHN, just scratch it altogether.

They need to do one that hasn't been done before so there's nothing to compare it to and cause inevitable bad reviews. Also pick something timely like HHN does. I'd vote to see an Iron Lung (no clue how to pull that off, but it would be a big draw) or a Poppy Playhouse and people will show up.

They could put a haunted hayride in the water park. Instead they start charging for the dino trail and call it Minecraft

Aaannnddd it's back.

Lineup better have some big changes and the event better have some big improvements...

Agreed. I will say that Dorney Park's event last year did substantially improve from previous years; whether or not that can be attributed to the HAP is anyone's guess.

KD's definitively did not improve (and was a marked decrease in quality in almost every area, especially entertainment), so yeah, they should have something to show for it this time around.

The fact that they removed the Haunt Attraction Pass disclaimer (presumably after deciding to cut it last year) only to later (early this year I believe?) add it back and finally (just now) announce a Haunt Attraction Pass for this year is classic, idiotic Kings Dominion behavior. They had the chance to actually sell all of their passes for 2026 with a "Select Haunt Attractions May Require Additional Purchase" note but, once again, just like in 2025, many people bought 2026 passes without that warning and now, once again, just like in 2025, those people will be right to feel completely scammed by this move.

Truly astonishing how Kings Dominion management manages to constantly return to step on the same rakes over and over like this.

I still believe paid houses may be best for the event long-term, but, like last year, I predict that the upcharge will likely SUBSTANTIALLY harm the event in the short-term and, once again, cause (justified) mass outrage amongst guests.

I just want to know why these decisions are always so erratic and bipolar. The park does so much damage to their reputation by not just picking a course and sticking with it. Consumers hate chaos.

Also begs the question will anyone buy them after many of us felt cheated by buying them last year only for the houses to be turned over to free half way through the event. I already feel cheated about Gold passes being upgraded to platinum after I paid for Platinum. I really am wary of buying any SF product right now as I feel like I keel getting the rug pulled out from under me after I gave them my money.
