I would say the people leaving their bamds for others and handing them out at the gate before they leave are more of the problem than me who buys them 2nd hand vs paying park price.

The parks' answer to this is probably going to eventually be to make all of these products single-use per attraction vs unlimited, unfortunately. I never had a problem letting friends use my free single-use FlashPasses/FastLanes/QuickQueues/etc because it's a limited commodity and it's my choice whether I use them on myself vs using them on a friend. Sharing unlimited products is a lot different in my opinion. If I use it to the fullest extend I want to and then give it to someone else to do the same, that is unnaturally increasing the usage of the product while stealing a likely additional customer from the park. I think parks are right to crack down on that however possible—I just hope it doesn't impact more, in my opinion, ethical approaches to sharing adjacent products (like single-use FastLane/FlashPasses).

I see it also as a test try and someone could be like "damn that was nice I need to get that myself" doing so could sell more.

I was handed an all day dining at KI when I walked in and the next day I bought one myself because of how insanely nice it was. I would have NEVER thought about getting 1 before hand same for the drink plan

This is a very outlandish and crazy idea but what about a really good and clear hand stamp? No one can steal that. It would be easy to just buy it either beforehand or at the park, have the person stamp your hand, and if it rubs off, you can just show them the receipt. I don't know.

They still require you to scan wristbands. If they make a QR code hand stamp that could get annoying to deal with rubbing off. If we can ahow a recipt then at that point I can make a fake looking smear and just get somones recipt and bam, were back where we started

They'd have to ID you to stamp and then again to restamp if needed.

Wristbands are good as long as they're put on properly by an employee, well-designed to destroyed once removed, and not replicable (have a unique identifier that needs to be scanned or similar). Disney, Uni, United, everyone uses them all the time.

Is there any information about Diablo at all? Any signs of a possible facade? Any images of props or sets inside Action Theater? I know some IP mazes at parks open week later from opening weekend... I don't foresee that being the case with Diablo, but could it be a possibility?

Are the shipping containers new to Site-X? I think they look pretty cool and was curious if they could be a subtle hint at a re-theme of backlot as apparently backlot’s red train has already been removed from the track for maintenance.

Visiting the park yesterday (Sunday 9/13), the only visible indication of the new Diablo maze is the sign outside the Action Theater:



But I was able to get a slight peek through the maze exit:

So not super encouraging - where it seems there's still quite a bit of work to do, at least at the exit of the maze.

But there yesterday, the smell of fresh cut wood was quite noticeable in the air; so on the positive side, the crew seems to be hard at work on completing the maze, even there on a Sunday.

Nope, it's included like a standard house. Conjuring: Beyond Fear (at the parks that have it) is a different kind of experience which is why it has the upcharge.

A few years ago the park had fashioned a stage out of some shipping containers for a Haunt music show near Twist & Shop. I wonder if they're repurposed from that?

I can't fathom not bringing my phone in the park. Like why? Especially if you have older parents or kids and suff in your family that something can happen at any moment. Does a smart watch work if your phone is far away?

On my first full visit to KD in 1975 I noticed how the park removes you from the outside world except for the top of the Eiffel. Didn't see a normal car or truck all day. That's changed with all the tall rides but there's still a feel of immersion. There is some reason to have contact with the external world but I prefer not. On top of that, I only recently started taking glasses in the park, without them can't use the park app at all. I'll look at queue-times before going in but being there is far more accurate. Plus having no phone avoids the weight and concerns of having it on you. Probably will be pulling my old smaller phone out for this. No plans to ever get a smart watch, did get new batteries for the $1 plastic pocket watch I normally use.

I got to many people I care about with health issue that could happen for me to just leave my phone. Ill never live with myself if something happened and im on some dumb coaster for 3 or 4hrs

Cell phones have only been common for about 30 years. KD has been around for 51. Not taking your phone into the park isn’t the radical behavior it’s being made out to be, and I think it’s pretty cool you do that @bill s.
