Looks as if KD will have a themed bar:

KD said:
The Annex at Club Blood is now open! You’re invited to take the stage and perform some of your favorite Halloween hits. Space is limited, so join us early to choose a song and hold your spot. While you wait, our specially trained Vampire Mixologists are serving up the hottest libations which are sure to get your blood pumping. Don’t worry, we’ve asked them not to bite!

Seems like a logical and less disruptive location, if it is back by Club Blood.

I think the location works thematically and geographically. It is near a "club," and that area is a dead end, so it won't disrupt a scare zone or path. Besides, karaoke is terrifying.

Also, if there are only 8 mazes and the antique cars are remaining, are they getting rid of Zombie High or Doll House, or is Tollway Terror not considered a maze?

Yeah, I'm not too sure what to make of that. Karaoke can kind of kill the atmosphere if it's in the wrong spot.
Hey Bad singing can kill anything, the key point is will it be slow and painful or mercifully fast.

Im just glad they took positioning of the bar into consideration. That will help alot with keeping the theme of the area.

I'm hoping they're just not counting Tollway Terror as a maze, but we thought that might be the case last year when they announced there'd be 9 mazes and we were wrong about that. So who knows?

I spoke a bit too soon. Managed to get into the list of mazes (Google, again, is an incredible machine). There are 9 if you count Tollway Terror. All other mazes are returning.

Mazes Website

I got into the scare zones site too. Nothing new there, though I guess that isn't surprising since we're getting a new maze and Blue Ridge is being re-themed.

Whoa! Great find, Buckler89!

I can't quite tell from the description, but is Unstrung going to be a puppet show? Like marionettes and stuff? If done correctly, this could have the potential to be a super cool (and intensely creepy) show. Count me in!

Also, since this show is going in the Kings Dominion Theater, I guess Eternal Jamnation is out. Interesting how, just like the main season, there park's main show won't be a musical. Interesting.

I also really like the description of Lockdown. The prison theme seems like the perfect idea for the location and for replacing Outbreak. That said, an idea is only as good as its execution, so we'll have to wait and see how things turn out. *glares at Maze of Madness*

Looking at the description of Tollway Terror, it sounds like the theme will revolve around monsters lurking in the woods, as opposed to Bloodbath which was themed to cannibalistic hillbillies. I thought the hillbilly theme was rather lame, so I'm excited to see whether the "forest monster" theme works better. Either way I'm glad to see the Tollway still being used for a haunt- it's a brilliant concept that has had poor execution.

As for the bar... ehh. I'm hesitant, but I won't raise the white flag just yet. If there's just one bar, I guess that's okay, and its location in a dead-end corner of the park near Club Blood does make sense. Hopefully it shouldn't interfere with the rest of the event too much becuase of its location, and tying it in with Club Blood does work thematically. My understanding is that one of BGW's marketing executives is KD's new head of marketing, so I suspect he had something to do with this addition. As long as this does not spread throughout the park, I suppose it is okay.

The karaoke, though, has the potential to be the scariest thing at the event. :p I wonder if it will be on the Grove Stage or in a new location closer to Club Blood?

Edit: Check that, the Grove Stage will be housing what I assume is a newly revamped version of Blood Drums called Blood Drums: Static. Other than the slightly altered name and the "New in 2015!" tagline, I don't see anything pointing at what will be different in the new show. Regardless, thank goodness this is being refreshed. It was getting extremely tiresome by 2014.

Speaking of shows, looks like Overlord's Resurrection is being replaced by "Overlord's Scaremony." How the latter will differ from the former, I have no clue. Hopefully it's not changed too much- I loved the Resurrection.

And Nicole, as far as the event's house count being down one, I'm wondering if that source did not count "Tollway Terror" as a house. It was, after all, a third party source that may have its own independent definition of "house".

Though to that I'll have to add my standard disclaimer: ...but I've been wrong before.

So I think I stumbled upon an incomplete version of the Haunt website, and it's quite interesting. Amazing how you can move around an incomplete website with Google. I say it's incomplete because it still says at the top "new in 2014" and mentions Maze of Madness as a new maze. But the rest of the items say that they're new for 2015. Guessing the full site will be released within the next week.

For one, the Overlord is returning (super glad to hear that). A new show called "Unstrung" is coming, which basically sounds like the puppets. The new maze taking Outbreak's place is called Lockdown and Blue Ridge Bloodbath has been changed to Tollway Terror. I've provided the link below, along with descriptions of the two mazes and new show.

Haunt Website

Unstrung - The battle lines have been drawn and the outcome is unknown. Join us for this all new, multimedia infused production unlike anything ever seen at the Kings Dominion Theater. In this tale of oppression and suffering, will the Puppet Master regain control over his dolls or will they succeed in overthrowing him? In the end, who will become Unstrung?

Does this mean BGW is sending KD the sets and projectors from London Rocks?

If it's as good as last year, I'm going to be very happy! Last year I thought everything (except shows) was better than HoS. As a theater major, I love cool sets and stuff. I, admittedly went in with low standards. The maze that impressed me the most as far as maze construction was No Vacancy. Super excited for this year!

Glad to see the infection maze go, was the least impressive of last year. Intrigued to see how Tollway Terror works out!

Has anyone been to the park lately? What is the status on lockdown? Any pics of new construction?

Kings Dominion's web site now has the 2015 Haunt stuff listed.

New stuff is the Lock Down maze in the FOF building.
Terror Tollway replaces Blue Ridge Bloodbath.

Only two mazes this year have the skeleton rooms in them. What is weird, is that 3 scare-zones now have skeleton "rooms?!?!". So, something has to have been modified/added to those existing scare-zones for that to happen.

Shows:
Blood Drums is now using the International Street stage for their performances this year.
Skeleton crew is back in Safari Village.
The Grove stage is being used for a DJ playing, with booze flowing.
New show in the KD theater with Unstrung. Neat photo of one of the Puppets (I assume that it is used in the show).

Haunt VIP meal is back.
The booze is in/around the Grove stage (Annex is the name, Or part of the name).

Check it out.

The Fright Lane pass gives you front of the line access to ALL Mazes. Those mazes that have the asterisk * beside it have a "Skeleton Room" addition. (Maze of Madness & Slaughter House).

There are 3 Scare-Zones that have "Skeletons Rooms" this year: Necropolis, Feary Tales, and Cleaver Brothers Carnival. I'm not sure how that works for Scare-Zones that are set up in open walkways throughout the park. Is it a blocked off section in the zone or some type of building structure added in or beside it?

I'm excited about the Haunt VIP meal; it was excellent last year.

I am less excited about the HOS-ification of Haunt. My only hope is that the placement at KD will be less disruptive than the bars and parties at BGW.

Also I am getting a "page cannot be displayed." I wonder if they took the Haunt information back down?

The park has been doing alcohol related areas during Haunt for the last couple years. I remember the "Beer Garden" set up they had next to Victoria's Garden Pizza and the Drop Zone plaza. At first, it was just a sectioned off area to drink beer. I thought last year there was a DJ and a little disco/party lighting and dance area as well.

Given that the park is advertising the Club Blood Annex this year, I am not sure if means they are stepping up the alcohol to include shots/jello shooters/etc. I do remember Chef Paul said he might be using the food booths from Spring Fling during Haunt. Not sure if that is to serve alcohol from or some sort of Haunt related food locations.

I had issues with the Haunt link on the park's main page. I just plugged in the forward slash and the word haunt at the end of the park web link and it came up. www.kingsdominion/haunt/

EDIT: I just tried the link I used earlier and it is down now.
