Dimensions could be and should be really good in my opinion. It was just sooooo bright in there this year. That, paired with the house's mediocre hiding spots are what make it a poor experience. Improve the lighting, pump in some fog, and it could be as good as Vault IMHO.

I think it's time for something with an actual story line to follow rather than room to room.

Doesn't this perfectly describe DD too? That’s my problem with it - it’s room after room of disjointed, albeit pretty, scenes. At least Vault has an overarching theme of past HOS attractions. Since each room in DD is totally unrelated, there's no mindset for me to get in for DD, no immersion to allow me to suspend disbelief. As beautiful as the sets are, it’s not a good house in my opinion.

But replacing a room to room house with another room to room house. Isn't how you fix it. And technically speaking just like all the houses, except vault which is based on pure nostalgia, it does have a story. Im not saying it's a good story or conveyed well. But there is a story.

But to be perfectly honestly literally none of the houses at hos convey the story each house is trying to tell. Vault in its first year got okay reviews bc it's nostalgic. This year the nurses carried the house until apparently the final night. If DD was alone in not conveying it's story I'd agree with you. But Vault isn't a better answer.

I wonder if BGW would ever be able to to create “next generation” haunted houses. Such a house would have each scene at least on par with the Ripper Row segment in Demented Dimensions.

I know Kings Dominion has been trying to do this for years, although they haven’t had a truly new maze in the last two seasons.

Could Busch Gardens Williamsburg ever make it worth their while to go the extra mile with their houses?

With Pantheon coming, I was thinking of a new house to replace Circo. You(the guest) would have angered the gods somehow and different portions of the maze are dedicated to some type of horror a god has sent you. For Apollo, there could be burn victims, Minerva could be psychosis, an Underworld portion for Pluto.

Howl-O-Scream 2020 hopes:
New Scare Zone - Although I love them very much, I feel that ripper row, Killarney, or vampire point need to be replaced. Maybe some kind of town overrun with zombies or creatures from DarKastle (fitting in with the Ludwig overarching mascot that was recommended).
New House - Once again, DarKastle can be changed from DD (that could be put in Vault’s house) and scrap frostbite. Make a King Ludwig house and use frostbites old stuff including the pre show room just like frostbite once did. Put a new house where Cornered once was instead of DD’s old extended cue.
That’s all I have off of the top of my head. If y’all wanna critique it or add to it, feel free to.

I don't think we'll see anything in Vault or lumberhack next year due to project 2021 construction. I think that really hampers what they will do because I don't see them getting rid of any other houses when they know they have to replace 2 next year. I do think we could see a new maze in either France or Ireland to offset. I would like to see them redo Circo before they redid anything in DK personally.
