Working on a web team, we'd like to think it's fairly well reviewed but stuff still slips though the gaps until either a review after publishing or a site user points it out.

I completely agree that these things easily getting missed. However in BGW's case, it seems more like there is no direction or set standard. They decided on terror-tories, which is a great name for their scare zones and then they list them on the site as scare zones. Pick one!

I even remember watching an old interview with Scott and Clint Novak where they both went back and forth calling the event both Howl O Scream and Haunt.

Why not list InvadR as Invader? Finnegans Swings. Killarney can just be plain Ireland sometimes. Globe Theater... ahh that Shakespeare thingy. Summer Nights... ehhh Summer's Eve.

Just like every shitty movie director that can't figure out how to end their movie so they make 10 different endings and put them on the special edition so we can all choose our own adventure. Have a clear vision and stick to it. Even if it's not great.

What, they can't crowdsource greatness?

The entire maze layout pisses me off so bad..I feel like their is a lower chance that guests will be able to experience and explore the park at night. But if they spread mazes all through the park it would greatly improve the experience in my opinion.

I mean, while you're correct, there's an argument to be made that, since the park doesn't decorate nearly as much as they used to/with less effort than they used to, there isn't a ton to see, tbh. As many time as I walked through the scarezones they are a massive weak point. But I also don't think that there's like much they could do to improve them besides decorate them more. (And I say this on a general level for most parks. Path scares are almost always the weakest scares.)

It's so very easy to miss over half the park considering there's not even a show on that side anymore.

I think this year we'll prolly see the revival of one of the two old house locations used (France or Eire) but not likely both. I could see them moving Vault into Eire tbh, and calling it something new. Just to be cost effective.

But that still would mean that you could easily skip half the park lol. Not unless they decide to do Halloween shows in RPT at the same time.

But this is just my guess.

Just got a leaked list of some of 2020s houses and shows.

Shows -

Garage Beats Re-Re Vamped; The Nighting-ing

Jack Is Back Again Part 2 Redux - The Beginning

Monster Stomp on Ripper Row - Now featuring more whores

Twas the Night - the same as the Christmas Town show

Houses -

Freezer Bern - Bernie has taken over Darkastle. Can he be stopped before he takes over the White House?

Vaut un-Vaulted - All the other props they haven't used yet, including the destroyed troll

Lumberhack(ereded) - Same as last year just backwards which is the same as the first year, I think

Masked - Just a bunch of Spirit Halloween masks

Werewolf Circus - Circo Sinestro with Werewolves

Kornered - Corn stalks stapled to walls with an all Korn soundtrack

You may be close, but Lumberhack and Vault: Overtaken are both definitely wrong.

You were close on Lumberhack, but it's actually named Lumberhack: Eroded. It'll be themed to the horrors of poor stormwater runoff management in modern construction. The walls will all be poorly maintained sentiment barriers that clearly won't stop contamination of nearby resource protection areas.

As for Vault: Overtaken, it becomes Vault: Overhauled. The basic premise is that evil versions of your favorite C-list-celebrities-turned-HGTV-house-flipping-stars have been brought in to give Vault a new, more open concept and granite countertops. Picture complete, careless demolition of props from the long history of Howl-O-Scream happening all around you as you walk through the building. Meanwhile, Vampire Vanilla Ice and Sinister Snooki are spit balling all new looks for the Vault. Truly a horrifying experience.

Don’t forget the new Lockdown! It may borrow its name from Haunt, but this scare zone is oh-so uniquely BGW. The park’s first zone located outside the park entrance, Lockdown frightens guests all with the added opportunity to smack their face on a locker.

I hope that after the major ride investments of the next two years, Sea World will dump money into HOS here. I know this area isn't as competitive as central Florida, but please Busch get aggressive.
Part of the problem with this is that Howl-o-Scream is highly successful with the minimum anout that they put into it right now. Well at least by attendance and cash flow standards which is likely the only thing corporate is really looking at so I highly doubt that we will see a cash infusion for it any time in the near future.
