I thought about using diffrent lots for diffrent time slots which I think would work well if the security and screening tents were in a more central spot. In fact the security tents in their curent location are a massive security issue. There is far to much of a unsecure area between the current check and park entrance. The old preferred lot is not monitored most of the time.

They are going to have some serious issues if they over book this and keep people waiting so I hope that they have addressed that.

I am not sure how true that is presumably there are cameras located in that area given that the normal ticket booths are up there. And I have noticed both JCCPD and park security at the gate entrance on multiple occasions so it's entirely possible that someone is looking wnd noticing them to intercept someone coming that way.

Im sure they figured it out from the past events but 1 hour between events seems tight. I know one night we rode Verbolten right at the end of the night and after riding we started heading out. By the time we took a bathroom break and one more to wash hands right before exiting it was almost a hour past closing and there were still plenty of cars left. How will they work the parking lots with only 1 hour? If they dont start letting people in early lines will be huge and people will spend half their time waiting at the toll booth. I am excited for the 8-12am slot though. It would be nice i you had a back to back slot there was a area of the park you could go to stay so you didnt have to leave and come back through parking, security and temp screening.
My guess is that they will use multiple parking lots and potentially have people exit from different locations in the park based on the parking lot they entered from as well.

Unless they run trams or add an additional screening area using multiple lots doesn't seem to be all that feasible given the current setup.

On a side note we received new cold weather temp screen guidelines for work this week that say someone should be in the building for a few minutes before being screen to prevent cold skin from the weather from throwing a a false negative. I wonder if the park will use some sort of heated tent holding area to address this as we see temps start to drop.

As long as they're willing to truck the security machines up the hill between sessions, everything else is pretty mobile as long as they have two tent setups (and we know they do have the other tents still set up in France).

Its great they did something but the 4 hour window will be a struggle to get a lot done especially if plab to eat and drink.

I don't know if you've been to the park yet during these events, but with the park as empty as it is it really isn't hard to get everything done in one four hour session. If you time it so you're eating/drinking during the hourly cleanings of the coasters, most guests will likely get more rides in than during a normal day during the shorter window.

We've been a few times, actually there twice this weekend. But with 2 kids 4 hours is no where near enough time. Especially ones who love coasters and Halloween.

I think it's definitely feasible. There are exits in Ireland directly to the England lot and exits behind sesame directly into the France lot. This means that they wouldn't need to have people exiting past people waiting to get in.

I expect with those one hour gaps on Saturday more passholders will book more than one slot. My typical park visits are less than 4 hours but they are go, go, go and it can almost be a relief when it's over. Until I got a couple visits I didn't consider there to be enough time to eat anything either.

The ride list says 4 roller coasters and doesn't list New France as part of the event, so apparently the path will be around the other side of the park.

During these events, when they clear the park between time slots, do they make cars leave the parking lots, or can you stay at your car and re-enter if you’ve booked back to back slots? Really want to go in Oct, but we are 6+ hours away and wouldn’t want to pay for parking twice in a day. Thanks for any info ?

They have made you leave for the past events but there has been more time between slots not sure that they would with just an hour in between.

You would probably be better off calling and asking BGW directly

I noticed 2 tent frames on the parking lot near the main entrance (not sure what the lot is called) last week.

Is that a left over from earlier in the year when they had the graduation in the parking lot or does this have to do with one of the upcoming events?
They were up for the High School Graduation Events held in the parking lot. The tarps were removed due the hurricane that was coming.

Typically parking is for the entire day and not just an event. So even if you have to leave, when you come back you shouldn't have to pay for parking.

Regarding the commentary of the 1 hour break. Maybe this is based in the fact that BGW is seeing people double book 1 day for a visit? Because that would make sense.

As far as these antidotal stories of being able to get in line up to the last minute, that sounds like a failing of BGW. How do they not start shutting down ride lines 10-20 minutes before closing, shut down concessions about 5-10 minutes out, shut down merchandise 5-10 minutes before closing. If they aren't doing that they are asking for issues with cleaning out the first period before the second period.
