Honestly, this was the star of the show for me during my visits last year. Getting to lap it over and over during the last hour before closing on a few of my 2023 visits was superb.

I don’t know if it occurred later in the summer or not, but from my recollection there was a funny little lateral jolt about 3/4s into the first turn around. It’s not violent or anything, it just feels as if the train kind of skips for second. Where it occurs, one crosstie looks a bit off, so you see it coming. Anyway, I just accepted it as being a cool little quirk. I don’t notice it in this video, though.

The coaster really is running so much smoother now. The newly retracked portions make a huge difference. The last turnaround and the final bunny hills are still bumpy, but they’re bearable (no pun intended). The jarring transition from retracked to non-retracked sections of track is more or less gone.

To you and everyone else who plan on riding Grizzly, please report back on how it's running. It got some off-season work done to it and has new controls and brakes. I also heard it had some track work done though I'm not sure how much and what areas got it.
Is it still friction brakes or are there new magnetic brakes?

Agreed. Grizzly is now much more as my wife pictures bears (cuddly…. “Can I pet that dawggg” type) vs what I know them to be (savage).

Seriously, I think this is my number 2 coaster in the park at this point behind P-305. The only thing left to improve (and it's a biggie) would be a visible entrance that makes sense from the OV midway! Maybe the removal of the go karts is the beginning of this project.
I thought it was better in many ways than Twisted Timbers last year when I rode it and could hear an argument of it being the second best in the park. If they would lower the first turnaround a little to carry more speed, it would fix the only layout issue I see in Grizzly.

So many trees are gone now and it doesn't look like they've done anything to replace them. Hoping this is only because they plan to continue work on it in the near future, but I'm afraid that the tree feeling is partially lost. That said, Grizzly is a MUCH BETTER ride after the recent track work.

Really like the additional track work they did in the off-season. Just need to fix the area after the last turnaround and this could be popular with the masses.

It’s already there, judging off of reactions I’ve seen and the fact that it actually had a full queue last Friday. Don’t think the last bit of track is rough at all
I don't think the last part is too rough, but it's noticeably incomplete when most the rest the ride is basically new.
