I really hope it's not a complete redesign. If they need to reprofile a bit and even if they opt for partial Titan track, that would be fine. Grizzly has a great layout already.
It’s probably gonna be like how worlds of fun redid that ride? They added a helix I think

I would think this to be more of a reprofiling (and it’s needed a full retracking for quite some time), and less of a conversion. In either instance, improving guest reception by putting new track on it will help this ride tremendously.

The one part I wouldnt mind being altered is to lower the first turnaround a bit and carry more speed through it. The rest just needs reprofiling to fix the worst spots.

Come on let's ask the real question about everyone's mind. Will there be significant enough changes for it to count as a new credit?

If they replace most of the track with steel I say yes. If they re profile a large amount of the layout or change an element I also say yes.

If ghostrider can be reprofiled and get new trains and not be counted as a new credit, then I say no. Unless there’s some trick they have up their sleeve, I don’t think it will be a new credit.

If they are spending a ton of money on it, I think giving it a real entrance that features it versus the weird gift shop thing would be a smart move. The first time I went to KD years ago, I was looking for the entrance but couldn't figure it out; things really do need to be that simple, instead of a test to try to find out how to get to the station.

The entrance has been weird for years, even before the store - if I remember correctly, the store was an arcade (and a Haunt house location) with a pathway around it to get to the ride.

However, for what the ride is, it's usually got a small line whenever I've been so some folks figured it out.

I am conflicted the part of me that lives classic Grizzly is thrilled that it wont change by the part of me that has become obsessed with my credit out is disappointed that I can not get a new credit out of thid.

I’m excited by this. I’ve long loved Grizzly’s layout but HATED riding it because of the combination of the tight trains with rough ride meant I got bruised all over my legs. I think same layout, Titan track, slightly more roomy trains, maybe a slight reprofile would be exactly what the doctor ordered for this coaster.

The one thing that I hope gets reprofiled is the turn around next to the station. I LOVE Grizzly, but exiting the turn around in one of the back cars can be brutal if not prepared. The rest of the layout would be fine with just a re-track or Titan Track.

Gimme an overbank like Worlds of Fun did with Timberwolf and I’ll be happy.

Link To Kings Dominion Vlog Regarding Grizzly

Many online sources and coaster watchers have recently noticed that The Grizzly coaster is closed for repairs and that sections of track are missing. The theories behind the nature of the changes are as wild as the ride itself. The theories range from massive hurricane damage to large trees toppling onto the first drop and taking out a large section of track. None of these are correct. The truth is that Grizzly is undergoing extensive renovations and retracking and will re-emerge some time next season more fierce than ever before.
