The train doesn't have to stop at every station anyway. It could just go past the station until the country opened. Paired with signage and announcements during the ride it would be fine.

I realized today that the reason there is not a Germany train station is that Oktoberfest doesn't open til 11 on regular days, so the train would have to not stop there between 10 and 11... Thoughts?
A train station in Germany would give them a better reason to open early and to better distribute the crowds throughout the park.

Or they could simply not stop at Germany...

^This. It rolled right past Festa for most of Apollo's construction. The whole season, iirc. I'm sure someone around here could give you the exacts if you cared.

The rumor mill says that a new train station will be added to function primarily as a private park entrance and exit for resort guests.

I agree with you as well and see this as a good spot for the train station.

Those of you saying that grade of the tracks would cause problems for this location of the Germany Train Station won't be problem. Why do, I say this and that is. One, I used to work for SFA as a full-time park electrician and two, have been member of a trolley car museum for 17yrs and we been doing our own maintenance on the tracks since the museum opened in 1968. The track can be regraded for this location or any other locations. Railroads do this all the time.

I haven't been keeping up with this but weren't they supposed to make a new country to go along with this new train station? I thought Spain was rumored? Germany is huge as it is, I'd love to see a new country.

If they're truly putting a resort back there, you can bet your asses that they're not going to let the Drachen Fire graveyard be the first thing they see when they enter. Whatever they do, they'll want it to look nice and leave an impression.

Spain has been rumored for almost a decade now. From various sources with connections, the park has considered pulling Spain off, but the park seems to be focused on improving the current areas for now.

As for an entrance back behind the Festhaus, the park would have to do something with the Festhaus Park. I feel the park should stay as an alternate venue for concerts, but adding an entrance for guests back there probably means that that area will be converted to gift shops later on.

That area of the park has been put to use for years as a haunt maze and concerts. I doubt the park is worried about guests seeing that area.

There is a huge concert area, pretty much in the front of Universal Orlando, once you're past the first few gift shops.

I am interested to see how the park opens the new station, and the resort and then adds the country. I am sure the park has been planning for Spain and pushing it off for years since it seems to be such a high risk to add another country especially with the future of the park being unknown for a bit ago. Now that everything is sorted out, like mentioned elsewhere, Spain, a resort, train station, two major dark rides, and full year operation is still in the plans.

Two major darkrides? I really have been out of the loop.

In order to do a full year operation and make resort successful they need to bring in attractions like dark rides due to the winters we have. Since the resort may not close down during the winter months.

It probably will close down after Christmastown... Unless we are looking at year round opperation

The thread was not deleted but let's move that talk to the Future Park Plans thread. The first post contains a general schedule of the park's plans for the next 5 or so years.

Au contraire, it was deleted. But that's being taken care of, so there's no need to talk about it.
