General Updates for 2026

I’m not sure why passholder night is viewed as a benefit. It’s always overcrowded and not a very pleasant experience. It’s not exclusive.
I’m not sure how you can call it overcrowded when literally everything was a walk on in 2024 and 80% of the crowd was at Rapterra last year, making everything else a walk on. As horsesboy mentioned, it’s a great opportunity for the passholders to give new staff a trial run at operations with a well seasoned crowd before the actual opening day (which for the record, tends to be pretty busy). Plus, the energy in the park is high and it’s a well rounded opportunity for people to enjoy the park without having to deal with crazy crowds and long lines.
Team Charlie Brown will return to the Peanuts Playhouse from Opening Day to Labor Day (similar to past years). I am surprised they brought this one back as I thought it was one of the weaker Peanuts shows. But then again I’m also not the target audience.
This is a few days old, but going along with the theme of small TLC projects, they posted that the murals on Waveswinger are getting repainted:

This is really awesome! They looked really, really bad. Hoping parks continue to post smaller updates like these!
Fingers crossed for a lighting refresh too!
Woodstock Express is getting refurbished. Who wants to take bets on whether they paint that new wood?

So basically Extended Ride Time for pass holders.
Honestly, I thought KD’s was the smoothest of the Woodstock PTCs when I rode it in September. Love to see them taking steps to keep it that way.
That little sucker screams around those corners, too.
The park has not announced anything. I think it's safe to say there won't be one.

Carowinds is announcing their event lineup tomorrow (probably). Maybe KD will get theirs tomorrow, also? I think this could make sense with the rumored return of a winter event at KD (see that separate thread for discussion).
KD did not announce their event lineup today, but some interesting tidbits did come out of Carowinds’ announcement that KD could also partake in.
Carowinds is putting on a Scream Break event (selected Haunt mazes open during Spring Break), though there are conflicting reports on if this is only the Conjuring maze or if it includes select regular mazes, also (the website says only Conjuring, FYI). They are also moving their Oktoberfest event to after Haunt ends. This is a change from last year where they ran their Oktoberfest from mid-September to end of November. Winterfest is also returning, for what it’s worth.

That Scream Break is….terrible.
Also moving Oktoberfest to what isn’t historically Oktoberfest is just….bad.
