I bought my sampler pass at the Asia booth and none of their beers were available with the pass. It was good for beer at the carribean booth and the Virginia booth. Not sure about availability at other booths.

This is correct, some beers are included, but many are not. The beers excluded are not listed anywhere, except at each booth. The frozen drinks, shots, etc. are clearly listed as excluded on the website, the Sampler, and the tour book. It just isn't very clear and it was disappointing.

We have ranked the booths, recommended some specific dishes, laid out the cost/benefit if the sampler lanyards, and taken a stab at the best way to approach the event.

I still haven't heard back from the park. I sent it to the general relations e-mail. Does anyone know the normal turnaround? I figured they would at least respond?

I did get a response from the park - the only beers that do not seem to be included anymore are the bottled beers which I understood clearly from the beginning. From your post I was under the assumption they removed half of the draft beers but all of the drafts are still good to go for the sampler. 25 drafts
Heading back today to finish up our deluxe sampler passes. We tried a lot the first day of the festival and overall enjoyed it. To me, the food is very, VERY good for a theme park event, and good to very good overall (though not outstanding) if one is already familiar with a particular cuisine.
The ParkFans review has prompted me to re-try the India booth; we had the samosas the first time and were underwhelmed.
Surprise favorite so far is the bangers and mash at Ireland -- really an elevated version of what could be just a basic dish. Several of the nonalcoholic beverages were well worth a sampler credit, too, I thought, like the hibiscus lemonade from Hawaii.
Fun Festival note -- at our stop at the Hawaii booth I was marveling at the spam and frankly just a wee bit skeptical of its authenticity. Of course it was standing room only but one lady was by herself at a table. I asked if she minded if DH and I joined her; she said no -- and chatty me started talking (I'm one of those who talks to people around me in line and so on). Turns out she was a long term resident of Hawaii and of course confirmed that spam really is a huge thing in Hawaii, and she shared her favorite way of prepping it, which sadly I've already forgotten. But it was great to get that kind of personal anecdote and part of what should be fun about a festival, I think.

I went yesterday and was extremely disappointed in a lot of the booths already being out of items for the rest of the event they claimed...They have an entire weekend left!! They were out of curry, mini cannoli's, prosecco, AND CUPS AT ICELAND FREEZES (they said they only had about 5 cups left in the whole park as of 4pm yesterday and weren't sure if they'd be receiving a new shipment) and a few other things I can't remember!! They stated they are unable to serve ANY frozen beverages in any other cup other than those they were out of, they were also out of pineapples and coconuts to serve them in. My friends were super upset because I brought them to BG specifically for this event and they missed out and some really great things (and the park missed out on selling a lot of $11 drinks).
I'd imagine that they will be able to restock most of what they need before next weekend.
I guess this year was more popular and successful than they anticipated. I wonder if that is because the food is so much better, or if other factors like the weather played a larger role.

Out of curiosity, with whom did you speak? I ask, because in my experience, many employees aren't privy to that kind of information.
I asked the people at each booth that was missing items, the person who was conducting the survey at the front of the park and the cashless booth outside the gate.
Looks like I will just be paying as I go this weekend then. Don't want to get the vouchers if there is a possibility of them not having items I want to try. I can't imagine why the park would not want to restock the food items on what might be their busiest weekend of the summer season.
Had a great F&WF this year. Around 8:45 last night, 15 minutes prior to park closing (before InvadR ERT), I realized I had one item left on my voucher. I booked it to Caribbean only to find they were out of all drafts which was a shame but that was around 8:45 so they might have just already starting taking them down early or so. I ran over to Germany in hopes to find a beer to use my voucher for and luckily they had all four up and ready to go. Gave the Hofbrau Munchen a try which was excellent.
So the Iceland people told me after FWF they will stay open every day through the summer. I would think they would have backup plans for cups to use after it's over. Also, the mojito was good a week ago, but all of this past weekend it was barely frozen...same problem they used to have with the Bushwhacker in the Caribbean booth
