First and foremost I will defend my rum-dependency as vehemently as a person dependent on rum. Therefore I say the Caribbean booth is necessary and fundamental.

So help me god.

Secondly, it sounds like we're talking about different things here. The F&WF serves exotic food/drinks to expose the unwashed masses to something outside of their usual palate. The brauhaus serves beer that is both local and abroad (I'm guessing since I don't personally drink beer and only went there with people who do).

So really there's no disagreement here? Or am I missing something? Because essentially we're all pretty much saying there's something for everyone...?

To be honest I really don't care about the food. I just go for the rides and a show or two here and there. I would never just go for the food. But I respect that people do that....and would fight to the death for that right.

I wasn't trying to nitpick people's arguements - I simply thought it was odd we were saying that a Virginia booth would push the festival in a direction it shouldn't go, when in fact Virginians are not the only key geographical demo the park markets to. Highlight what's good about the state for those outside of the state.

All of these things said I still think the offerings at this specific booth are...lacking. I thought it would be much heavier on the seafood side than anything. Oysters anyone? And that hush puppy cannot call itself a hush puppy.

Either way I'm still extremely excited for my number two favorite event in the park's calendar.

Is Ireland taking over Scandinavia's spot? Since Hawaii is kind of out in the Wild Reserve a bit?
 
We're thinking about going Memorial Weekend, maybe that Sunday, not sure yet. How crowded is the first weekend normally? Thanks :)
 
Memorial Day weekend is crazy busy. Friday would be the least busy. We used to go that Sunday for a few years, and it was nuts. If you don't get there before 11 you will be parking across the street.

The Scandinavia and Ireland Booths were located in Killarney previously. Additionally, the Hawaii booth is technically not in Killarney, it is in the Wild Reserve. I guess you could consider that area as the outskirts of Killarney, but it is before the sign/castle and they play Wild Reserve music in that area as well.
