I'm up for an English food stand... Bacon butties, fish & chips cooked in drippings, steak & kidney puddings, Bakewell tarts...

But fish and chips is already served at Squires? Aren't they supposed to have special food items for the festival?

Yea - and I see your reasoning. Better yet, just fix existing booths. I'm looking at you Ireland. Braised Beef and Potatoes 100 Ways...

Am I misremembering or by this time last year did we have much more information about the upcoming F&WF? I want to see some menus!

RE: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Food & Wine Festival 2015

Well we know that the park was considering (an) Asian booth(s) for this year. I believe a group of BGWFans reviewed some samples offered.

RE: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Food & Wine Festival 2015

I was thinking to myself today. Scandinavia (Which is a section of Europe, not a country as multiple forum members explained:p) doesn't seem to receive as much traffic as the other booths. I imagine the Asian booth could fit nicely in Ireland similarly to how the Caribbean fits in Germany.

RE: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Food & Wine Festival 2015

Actually, an Asian booth could fit better in just about any other hamlet than Killarney. Banbury Cross would be the best fitting area.

RE: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Food & Wine Festival 2015

Actually, technically Connor is correct: just as the Caribbean booth makes absolutely no sense in Germany, so too an Asia booth would be completely misplaced in Ireland.

I think Aquitaine might be a logical place, given the French colonies in SE Asia.

For what it is worth, the Scandinavian booth is one of my favorites.

I noticed BG Tampa offers multiple vouchers for their food and wine festival depending on what you are interested in. Any chance BGW will offer a voucher coupon for food and drink purchases. I know they had one on the site last year and then pulled it shortly after I ordered mine. I don't remember seeing a reason given for the voucher being removed. I was happy that I got the vouchers because I was able to get some things I would not have tried had I not had the vouchers.

So, only Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Mongolian?  There were also Southeast Asian cuisines at the tasting.

I like Cajun food, but I guess the European focus is gone.

Looking at the menus, the Belgian booth is gone too.  Probably because of the renovation of Bistro 205, I guess?

Edit: the new list of booths shows up when you select the Menu link at the top, but the old is still on the main menu page. Odd.

Taken from the BGW blog.
A taste of New Orleans is coming to Busch Gardens’ third annual Food & Wine Festival. The French Quarter is one of two new themed kiosks debuting at this year’s festival. The menu is still being developed, but Busch Gardens Executive Chef Justin Watson said it will consist of Cajun- and Creole-inspired recipes—think Gumbo—that will bring the flavors of the Big Easy right here to Virginia.

Watson is also introducing guests to Eastern Asia cuisine, the second all-new menu debuting at this year’s festival, which opens May 22 and runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through June 28. Guests can stroll through the world’s most beautiful theme park while sampling the flavors of the Far East, including báhn mi, jiaozi and Thai tea.

“With the addition of The French Quarter and Eastern Asia kiosks, guests can sample culinary traditions spanning fourteen geographic regions representing Europe, the Americas and Asia,” Chef Watson said. “We are pleased to offer these tastes of the world to our guests during this year’s Food and Wine Festival.”

The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival offers individual-sized tasting portions for sale at each of the park’s 14 themed kiosks stationed throughout the park. Tasting menus are being finalized and will be posted online soon. For more information, visit www.buschgardens.com/foodandwine.

I expect the French Quarter and France booths to take up the old Belguim booth location and another stand in Aquitaine. Perhaps the Wendigo Rations stand, Cafe Lulu or La Grande Glace.
