Actually, while walking near ANY of the Food & Wine Festival booths, look to the sky. I will say those ugly boxes in Italy and Pompeii are no longer ugly and look very nice and well done. I really am loving the look of these booths.

I just wanna snack all day on the cheap. If this is how I'm gonna do it, I'm all for it. (So long as I get my pretzel sausage.)

I have great info on the prices. All entrees are $3, $4, and $5 with the most expensive one being $7 at Spain. Deserts will be $2 or $3 each. Let me tell you the portion of the food they give you is out of this world amazing for the price you are paying. Honestly, they say it is a 3 or 4 bite sample, but it really does look like more. A few of the foods also taste very amazing. I will say that for those who are very picky eaters and aren't into trying new things, I highly suggest trying the food served here because these samples are really over the top amazing. Here are a few that I was able to sample already:
~ Irish Cheese Sampling
~ Kottbullar
~ Coq au Vin
~ Cheddar & Lager Chowder
~ Schnitzelwich
~ Currywurst
~ Panna Cotta
~ Chorizo Empanada
~ Rahmgulasch
~ Salata
My top favorite desert is the Panna Cotta and the best entree was Rahmgulash. I am telling you folks, they have the food in the bag and the booths are looking amazing. This may be on par with Howl-o-Scream and Christmas Town and definitely surpasses Illuminights shows, not the fireworks :p
This is an amazing event, great price, great food, great portions. I have yet to find a flaw in the event. Although, not every event is perfect so I am going to keep my eye out.

Big recommendation for everyone! Stop by the FWF Info Center just outside the turnstiles! They hand out little booklets with the map of all the booths including a checklist of everything you can try at the booths. This way you can checkmark all the foods and beer and wine that you have tried.

So lemme get this straight.

You basically pay money to sample the different foods at each booth. As long as you're 21+, the wine is included as well.

Sounds interesting. Can't wait to check out the new food in a few weeks!

BTW: Anyone know if the park is giving out "Food and Wine passes" where you just pay a flat price and get to sample the food at each of the booths as much as you want or is the event straight up upcharge?

The event itself is included with admission the samples are pay as you go. The wine is sold separately from the entree. You pay for each item individually, for example: entree, desert, beverage are all separately ordered and bought. Only patrons 21 and older will be able to purchase alcohol.

It is just like when you go to buy from a snack stand. Drinks are sold separately, snacks are sold separately.

Think of each booth as a snack stand and the snacks are really high class.

They'd be foolish not to offer this... it will make everything run more smoothly IMO.

All I can tell you is my girlfriend is super excited about the different kinds of food. Turkey legs & churros only excite the palate so much, you know. lol

So my question is, when we try these items & review on them, do we just lump it in with the others on the food review thread, or should we create a new thread just for the reviews related to the Food & Wine Festy?

Does anyone think this is worth $90.00 ?

^ No it's not.

Party Rocker, you have got me so excited about this event. I'm planning on coming up next Saturday.

You get 6 food items and choose from 3 beverages in the package. The question is how much would you spend on those by themselves (À La Carte) and is that greater then or equal to the price of the tour. Since we don't officially know prices it is hard to tell.

Edit: Sorry it is a choice of three beverage meaning one out of three ( to my interpretation)

Seems to me it's only worth it if you consider yourself to be a food snob, or just want to pretend that you are one.

I could honestly care less if a certain kind of rare goat cheese pairs perfectly with a Riesling, etc etc. lol

Two more Food & Wine pictures courtesy of Shafor! Thanks!

Scotland. I don't even... What were they thinking?!
