Actually, there is very little work being done behind the scenes. In fact, most of their special events you see somewhat major work being done. Iluminights, you typically see stages being set up, along with village decor and it actually looks decent being put together. Howl-o-Scream, you typically see attractions closed, added signs specifically telling guests to excuse the mess as they prepare for Howl-o-Scream. Christmas Town really has very little to no work visible because the park is closed when work is done.

The park is closed during the week so expect most of the work to be done during that downtime. The park doesn't want guests crowding around heavy machinery moving things or wandering around messy construction sites.

Even for Illuminights and HOS, most of the work is done when the park is closed.

^Obviously, yes but I meant you can see them progress over a time span of so many weeks. However, even on week days I have yet to see any major work for the F&WF be done.

EDIT:
Not sure if this has been posted yet. Booths for the F&WF will be open from 11AM until 1 hour before park closing.

Also, the park uses 2 tons of dough in their bakery each day which is used for both parks. That is a legit fact and not an exaggeration.

Just curious, during the run of this event on the select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is BGW hiring extra workers to run/serve the food at the booths? Or do you think they will pull workers from existing food establishments nearby to assist in running the booths during that time?

Course this is new for everyone, park and patrons; but, having these 8-10 booths on top of the existing food establishments makes me wonder if BGW will reduce staffing at some places in order balance out the business generated by the Food & Wine festival.

Yes they will; they will also wear their own special bowling shirts which will have the F&WF logo on it with no stripe. It is just like hiring Scare Actors for Howl-o-Scream,

I just got a text from the park from Twitter. They updated their site again adding Belgium, Ireland, a Coffee & Crepe stand, and a German Beer stand.

The map has been updated as well. Looks like the festival is growing and it hasn't even started yet! Sweetness.

Anyone at the park tonight got lucky. Can't wait to hear what people think of their first few tastes of the Food & Wine Festival.

Also, though I don't have pictures, Canada's booth apparently has some work done as well. Italy's and Spain's are apparently untouched.

I have no clue what they were thinking with Canada's...

Better shot of Scandinavia's:

Scandinavia's looks much better from this angle. The front wall still needs something though.

I only played around in Italy and Festa tonight. Here's some more shots of the booths:

I really have no qualms with the Canada booth. Don't understand the pumpkins, but its nothing too outrageous.

And Greece has quite the set up - starting to look like they're taking a cue from the white-washed buildings of the Cyclades, i.e. Mykonos and Santorini - some of the most gorgeous places on earth, I might add.

Mykonos

Getting extremely excited about this! I'll be there opening night and am chomping at the bit! (wow - see what I just did there?)

Oh, and I know we often talk about the longevity of these events (IllumiNights) and whether they will be scaled down over time. I've gotta think this is here to stay for a great while. I honestly think this event comes closest to exemplifying what the park is about - experiencing other cultures through such mediums as food, architecture, and one on one interaction with internationals. Now guests have the opportunity to come solely for the food and the atmosphere. We have that in Ireland, but I feel like this has finally encompassed the park as a whole. They've added so many experiences and so many kiosks, that honestly, this is finally pushing Busch into a two-day park. It's hinged on that for quite some time in my opinion, and this may be the thing to finally push it over, in the best way possible. Extremely excited to say the least.

The park was busy this past week. I will say, we may see a sign piece that is designed to be sun made out of cookware ;) And it looks absolutely amazing.

I am very disappointed with the Canadian booth/Smokehouse Grill. The pumpkins seem so out of place? Maybe another use for them other than Howl-o-Scream? Also I like the details in the signs so far. Canada's sign is made out of apple halves, and the booth in Italy for Italy is the new cafe/ICEE side of the Gelato shop; which has a group of grapes and each grape is made up of circles of cut wood. It really looks amazing! The details going into these signs are something we should see in the park daily!

I do like the turn out for the Oktoberfest booths. The booth in Ireland looks better than a red box :p I honestly didn't seem them doing anything like what they did. But it looks nice, just needs some great signage. I am highly disappointed in Spain and Greeces physical appearance of the booths; however with all the work put into the others I have little to no worries at this moment.

Here is your grapes from the Italy beer & snack stand. Forgot to include this last night:

Was sitting in the little dining area and looked up. I didn't remember seeing them before. These are new! And they look pretty good!!

Also, as complained about earlier, they changed the signs there from Frosted Drinks and Drinks to WIne and Gelato. They also increased the size of the Gelato menu.
