I agree. I also think they should have a "Look what will be here" kind of promotional info.. menu items.. date of opening- etc. These are perfect spots to advertise the details of the events while they are being built.

From your lips to the parks ears! Hey they have an in house sign shop so signs can be made quick and cheap. If nothing else place a few signs on the front of these "buildings" with information and it would add a much better flair to the whole thing!

Not enough to justify a front page post this week but I'll toss out what I have anyway. More pictures that may or may not have to do with the F&WF will be posted to their appropriate locations (notably the France renovations).

New sign at the entrance:

Edit: Wait... why isn't there any mention of the string quartet they promised on Pass Member Preview? Maybe it's not so worth it after all...

This is what it says on the Pass Member Discounted Dining page:

Busch Gardens Williamsburg Wine on the Rhine

There’s nothing nicer than a cruise along the Rhine River – unless you add a few tasty refreshments and a wonderful glass of wine. Listen to the music of a live band while you relax and watch the world float by. It’s the perfect end to an incredible day at Busch Gardens.

Adult (age 21 and older)From $14.40
Guest (ages 3-20) From $14.40
Children Under 3 From $0.00

- I don't know why they don't mention the live band on the regular website post.
- That must be some fancy water & juice to keep the price for kids the same as the adult price for wine.
*There have been a lot of things added to the ALL EXTRAS page.

And for you lushes, er... I mean wine connoisseurs, there is this:

French Wine Tasting

Compare some of Europe’s favorite wines during 20-minute tastings led by wine experts and receive a complimentary wine glass.

Guest (Ages 21 +) From $13.46

There really wasn't. Everything in-park looks the same as it has since 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'm starting to get a bit concerned about those plywood boxes. Food & Wine is quickly approaching...

It looks like a Food & Wine VIP tour has been added to the All Extras page...

The Food & Wine Tour offers a sampling of foods and wines from around the world. This experience will excite your palate for sure!

Each tour will be enlightened by its own personal guide.
Learn about food and wine pairings from various cultures.
Experience the flavors of 6 food menu items and a choice of 3 beverages.
Tour is approximately 3 hours in length.
Available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 31 to June 23.

Price? $100. They clearly don't want anyone taking this tour. Absurdly overpriced.

PS: I know someone from the park is reading this so I just wanted to let you know that you misspelled "will" in the first point on the F&W VIP tour info page.

I was looking forward to this event. However, with very little movement on the booths, I'm thinking about skipping it.

Because all the booth work is probably done behind the scenes away from the guests perspective. It'll all come together in the coming weeks much like the park's other special events.

Actually, there is very little work being done behind the scenes. In fact, most of their special events you see somewhat major work being done. Iluminights, you typically see stages being set up, along with village decor and it actually looks decent being put together. Howl-o-Scream, you typically see attractions closed, added signs specifically telling guests to excuse the mess as they prepare for Howl-o-Scream. Christmas Town really has very little to no work visible because the park is closed when work is done.

I will say though, VERY LITTLE work is noticeable in the park and behind the scenes BUT the work being done behind the scenes is just stunning. I have yet to see all the work, but the work that I have seen is just simply incredible and just downright shocking compared to what you see in the park. With that said, I still have very mixed feelings about the event. When the info was first posted, I had a good feeling for this event. The information was presented very well and the menus looked very interesting. Then we have these ugly booths, and I started to loose faith in event. Now seeing a piece of decor, my faith is starting to be regained.

Also, the wine tastings in Italy, Germany, and France are permanent installments and are not solely for the event.

Just curious, during the run of this event on the select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is BGW hiring extra workers to run/serve the food at the booths? Or do you think they will pull workers from existing food establishments nearby to assist in running the booths during that time?

Course this is new for everyone, park and patrons; but, having these 8-10 booths on top of the existing food establishments makes me wonder if BGW will reduce staffing at some places in order balance out the business generated by the Food & Wine festival.
