They dont make money but they do add to the event. Its a shame that the things that make a food and wine event fun have been done away with leaving the only thing to do is drop money at every stop.

I forget who had brought it up but I am being told that the menus at every kiosk will have a suggested wine pairing and beer pairing for every menu item.

I did. thanks. Though I do find it interesting because for some of the booths none of the wines really traditionally pair with the entrees

Apparently because some are specialty wines they have different notes and will pair with certain food items that one might not traditionally pair that type of wine with. I am not an expert on wine though just relaying what I was told.

Yeah I agree - prices would have been nice.

But, you could also take last years prices and factor in a 5-10% increase.

Not all of the menus are posted yet, but I have started a spreadsheet. Please let me know, if there are problems viewing it, or if anyone sees any errors.

Thanks for this Nicole. If I may make a suggestion; it might be nice to have a flag for each product if it qualifies for purchase as a part of the sampler package or not. This could help people decide whether or not purchasing the sampler package is right for them.

Ran a quick side by side with the 2018 bgwfans review. Looks like most food items are up by $0.25. A few items didn't rise; and some rose by $0.50 (Guinness chocolate mousse for instance from 4 to 4.50)

Honestly, it seemed insulting for me to include information that is that self-evident.

Regardless, that assessment varies from guest to guest. The two options work out to different prices per dish. Further, whether you have a Pass Member, Friends & Family, or no discount changes that calculus. I have a separate spreadsheet that includes the F&F discount, and the Deluxe Sampler only saves money, when you buy beer and wine.

Excluding discounts, it is easy for anyone to tell right away if an item should be bought with the Sampler. If you get the regular lanyard, only use it for items that cost less than $4.90. If you buy the Deluxe version, the cut-off is $4.60.

Don’t forget the cocktails are not included with the Samplers.
