We won't know until we know - it could be something as simple as a temporary closure sign out front until a final decision is made, it could be a public announcement for final rides, who knows?

If they don't have a plan to do something with the building and/or that plot of land if they do choose to permanently close it, I'm guessing they'll still use some form of the phrase 'making room for future development.'

Easy solution here. Dismantle the identical ride a short drive north, relocate it, put it inside the FoF building, and congrats, you have a smoother version of almost the same ride that's also in better shape (ofc, who knows how it is now after 3.5 months of inactivity and 0 maintenance)

I definitely think Jokers Jinx closing will mean better things for the future of the other 3 Premier spaghetti bowls in the chain(both FoF's and Poltergeist), but I don't know if it would all exclusively go to one park. If I had to figure we'll probably see the trains be parted out, and same with the launch system. There is also a possibility of as much as track sections being replaced even though I see that as being unlikely.

Is jokers in better shape? The ride sat outside in elements. FOF doesn't

Everything I have heard points to it operating this year. I still strongly believe that wevare likely looking it in going away withon the next 5 years at the most.

It's far from that simple and would be extremely expensive for a 26 year old ride that has maintenance issues already.

Hard to know what all is comparable. It's well known that changes were made after the two protypes notably to the trains for sure. But I have no idea how much is a simple swap out.

I am a strong believer thst it rode like it was in better shape.

For its last year of operation, Joker's Jinx had only one train on site, which had the middle two cars blocked off, and experienced frequent issues and down time. I don't know how "better" of shape it was in. "Smoother" is also debatable...but yeah, more fun without the MCBR.

I realize I wasn't clear - I'm not saying I expect the ride to cease operations anytime soon, just pointing out that when it's time we really don't know how the park plans on announcing it, if they do.

It had two trains running at the beginning of this year and all cars were running toward the end of the year. SFA faced two issues this year one even basic spare maintenance parts required corporate approval after the closer was announced and two was staffing.

Weird....the two times I was there this past year (in May and then again on closing day in November) there was only one train around and I know for a fact that during the May visit, the two middle cars were blocked off; I didn't ride it during the November visit so I'm very likely mistaken there. But there was definitely only one train on the track when I passed by it on the train ride.

It was running two during my June and July visits. It was down to one by the end of the season do to having to strip the other for parts to fix things sonce they were not permitted to purchase parts. Same reason just about every coaster was down to one train at the end of the summer. It was also not uncommon for SFA to start with only one train ops in the spring while they finished rebuilding the second train. This was largely caused by s lack of indoor maintenance space forcing them to spread out thr load over a long time frame then most parks.

Screamscape is reporting that Wild One and Jokers Jinx may have sent trains to KD for FOF and Racer 75. Anyone have any clue of the validity of this? I know Screamscape's rumors are often a bit questionable. I'd imagine both would only be sent to be used as parts anyway.
Hard to tell for sure but the recent drone video appears to show Joker's trains sitting in SFA's parking lot.

Nervous The Simpsons GIF

You've got a good sense of smell...
Really?!

Ok but with the rumored transportation of Joker’s Jinx trains heading KD’s way, it should have added longevity to the ride, especially given it’s been on the chopping block before. If something was seriously wrong then I feel like they would have shipped them to KI or SFFT instead.

The park is opening up a whole week earlier than first advertised, so if that means a few rides are still coming out of maintenance hibernation because they aren’t quite ready, I’m not complaining. Same with those complaining about no preview night; valid complaints but 2 full days earlier is a better trade off. Could just as easily have had a later park opening this year then we’d all be concerned about the park being cut by the chain.

I have no inside information but let’s not jump to any conclusions about FoF just yet.
