I wasn’t there so I really don’t know but if I had to speculate I’d see FoF was just shutting down for the year, and getting a head start with other rides soon to follow their off season maintenance. I assume they take off the trains off season to inspect right?

My understanding is that premier made several changes after the two protypes were made and that it would take a significant amount of alterations to use the trains as a whole but it's certainly possible that there are parts that coukd be stripped off of them.
Just wait until the season starts, that's when they like to announce ride closures.
Did you not get that I was referencing how they only announced Pantherian would be closed on the day before the park opened to the public(if I remember correctly)
