I think the park is crafting the lore for flight of fear in kings dominion, and they gonna take some inspiration from Indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull

well, paramount supposed to remove the ride in 2005/2006 so its makes six flags is going to find some old ideas that paramount had

Just because Paramount might have thought about doing it doesn't mean SF is copying them or that it doesn't make sense for them to do it.
Unless the cost to run FOF is astronomical, I see them running it until a catastrophic failure happens and they don’t want to pay to fix it.
Anaconda was not expensive to run and there were other rides removed from parks that were not either. On top of that closing it would make sense from a free up of parts for the several other rides of the same model that the company owns.

Keep in mind they're going to be adding a lot of spare parts with the closure of Joker's Jinx at SFA pretty soon. That just injected more life into FoF.

My understanding is KD is not on the list to get anything from Joker's Jinx which if true is another strong hint that we are nearing a goodbye.

Okay, I'll believe your "understanding" rather than logic. 👍

Given that every other similar launcher (Poltergeist, the other FoF, and the Mr. Freeze twins) have all been operating without major issues that need repair, I'm curious what information you may have that indicates the Joker's Jinx parts aren't just going into a warehouse for later use (if the ride/park doesn't get sold as is).

Even without that, I'm not sure where any "evidence" of FoF's demise comes from other than thoosie dreams. The ride always draws crowds, provides a respite from the summer heat, and Premier is still in business to service it and provide parts - a completely different scenario to Anaconda, to which none of those three applied.

I genuinely NEVER understood the rumors either, lol.

Eh - while you're correct in that Arrow is long defunct as a company, I believe S&S still maintains their parts catalog.

Additionally, depending on what it is, some parts can be bought from a regular distributor as they aren't specific to a given manufacturer's ride.

I am also of the impression that Anaconda was a people-eater so even though it didn't look busy with short lines, that's because throughput was high - it was one of the most ridden coasters in the park every year afaik.

Can't argue the respite from heat part, though.

But the big thing against FoF is the electronics - even if the parts are readily available, it could still be massively expensive to keep running.

Wouldn’t it be fair to say that Anaconda wasn’t a well-liked ride by most guests, and its removal was probably because its low ridership and/or guest satisfaction numbers didn’t justify its operating costs — however low those costs might have been?

I don’t think that situation is comparable to FOF, which while (allegedly) expensive to operate, still seems popular and well-liked by guests.
