Saved? No. Might it get some parts to extend its life a year or two? Maybe.

Realistically Poltergeist will probably be the last of the Premier spaghetti bowls. It's outdoors, yes, but it also wasn't one of the two prototypes and it seems to suffer far fewer issues than the other clones.

I also have some pretty serious doubts abt the quality and quantity of parts available from Jinx. it seems to have been limping a ong the past couple years, running with a fraction of one train when it's even open.

It's also IMO the most enjoyable ride experience of the spaghetti bowls, therefore the one I hope stays around for a long while.

So, I just realized something. If the rumors are true, does KD really have any legit reason to remove FoF? Is it really that expensive/unreliable that they would just want to axe it?

Well, it was the first modern launch coaster ever built (along with the KI version) and a prototype of (now dated) LIM launch technology. It’s also almost 30 years old. I love FOF and will be devastated to see it removed, but it’s not hard to see why the current SF management would be ready to get rid of it.

I’ve also unfortunately noticed that FOF has been having a lot of downtime this season, and sometimes it’s almost felt like it’s barely making it through parts of the course. It’s the country‘s oldest LIM launch coaster, and sadly it’s starting to show it.

I’m still in the camp of retrofitting it with LSM and a full retheme to market it as a new ride experience, but that’s probably a pipe dream.

I think, in an ideal world, the coaster ends up axed but the building gets reused for a darkride? Some overall structural modifications would be required but honestly it could work.
