No... They regularly make changes based on daily crowd projections throughout the day. They have called people in and sent people home based on the crowds present at the time.
Staffing decisions are made days prior and can’t always be altered to handle changes in crowds.

Alright... I never said always. But it's very typical for staffing to change day of. I worked at the park for years. Also, they had the same amount of staff at FF today as they normally would with both arms running so the staffing argument is irrelevant anyway.

^ this is why I asked if running single arm let them have one less staff present.

As Thomas confirmed this to not be the case, then I don't see there being a reason to run in single mode.

They also ran just the orange side later in the day thru the night yesterday. Curious as to why. Thought issue with green then saw only green running today so thought staffing but based on other comments that doesn't seem to be the case. I know at a couple of rides they were training new hires so one or two of them may have been training and not ready to go solo yet. Who knows.

Just like coasters...sometimes they don't run all the trains even though it's fairly busy. Or the number of rafts in Roman or Pompeii, etc. etc. One arm swinging gets almost two pages of posts.... ?

Even if staffing stays the same you still save money only running one side versus running both sides.

I was there today and was going to ride but the sign for the queue said it was 35 minutes. And yes, they were only running one side.

Why is the stone motif on the ride's supports painted on only like the bottom 1/3?

As we mentioned after Media Day, the paint higher up on the ride is designed to minimize how noticeable the structure is from a distance. Disney uses “Go Away Green” and “Be Gone Blue” for the same reason. I have been calling this “Blend in Brown.”

Yeah that doesn't really work or make any sense when the top third is grey/silver.

That sounds like one of those "pay by the show" channels.

She didn't star in much. The feedback was saying her performances ran a little... dry... bland... plain...
