Favorite Howl-O-Scream Attraction of All Time?

Yes. I liked it better there. Cast was dressed like these statues. So, you couldn't tell real from fake. Others would come at you with shovels and make sparks from the rocky ground covering. Plus, it was a large site. Pics courtesy another website. This is the original site and entrance.

I believe that's just part of the facade they built. I can't remember any specific building that were once part of the petting zoo.
THere have been a lot of things I liked at BG halloween over the years.
But the best? Rockin' Eve's Countdown to Midnight.
True story. We had already done the trip a couple of times. My daughter had made a costume of Eve. We were spending our last day at Kings Dominion, getting ready for their haunt stuff to open up. We just went through a maze that opened at 3pm, and then -- we decided to leave the park, and drive down to BG just so we could see Rockin' Eve again.
Loved that show, a little bit more than Monster Stomp.
But the best? Rockin' Eve's Countdown to Midnight.

I wouldn't say the train was my favorite pas Howl-O-Scream attraction, but the quality on it is 100 times better than the standard today. That cemetery scene at the beginning just makes me sad...what a great scene, it really gave you that eerie, creepy feeling of touring through a haunted forest. Yeah, some things were still kind of cheesy, like the annoying attempt at some Australian tour guide/narrator, but the cemetery, the wolves emerging from the fog, and the dead clowns were all on perfect par with what HOS is supposed to be: eerie, dusty, and freaky. This is immersion through the roof. Demon DJ's are not. To quote Zachary, oh how far we've fallen.

I dont understand why they cant do a little bit of the old train ride... Not block off the stations, but have the scenes between the stations! I mean, it would be a great investment, as alot of people LOVED the haunted train, and if it were to unofficially return, people would flock! At least use the skeleton carriage again, that thing was almost as cool as the horseman himself! It is one of the few things i really remember as a kid going on the train. I was too scaredy todo the mazes,s o i rode the train. My parents loved it too, and I would SO apply to work on the train if given the chance! You dont have to create all these new mazes, but just start revisiting the classic howloscream. the howloscream that was amazing and not slightly above mediocre except for a few spots,
Favorite of all time? has to be the original Monster Stomp that happened in the now destroyed Canadian Palladium.

Demented Dimensions was stolen from BGT which is why it was so novel and unique in the context of BGW. I agree though, very underrated house at our HOS.
Demented Dimensions was probably one of the worst mazes in Tampa, but it looked great in Williamsburg. Lol.
I wish Williamsburg would get more mazes sent directly from Tampa, rather than getting a cheap reinterpretation (Nevermore, Death Water Bayou).

Zombie Mortuary most of all. That one was truly amazing. It had awesome set design and a great overall tone.
Otherwise, I would love to see The Basement in Williamsburg. It had some good gimmicks and it felt like you were actually in a basement.
I wish we had gotten Tampa’s iteration of Nevermore, though. None of Williamsburg’s versions were even close to Tampa’s quality, but I think Death Water Bayou was a slightly better compromise.
