i think there is still hope for it. if the big bad wolf can be closed and they replace it about 2 years later i think they can fix this issue very quickly.

Bring back Corkscrew Hill, but make it new like Spider-Man in Universal! They could even make new scenes that vary every time you ride like Star Wars in Disney! They have so much potential with simulators, but they just don't do it!

i beleive your outdated friend. universal sold their rights to spiderman to disney. also they shut down the ride. they did this back in 2011.

First of all, these were not to be implemented on the ride but examples of what other companies did with rides. Secondly, universal still has a ride called Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and they upgraded it so that it has better animation and overall look. Yes Disney owns marvel, but universal hasn't torn down their Marvel land! Lastly, it's Curse of DarKastle or Escape from Pompeii. So my friend, you might want to research before you start posting.

Actually...Disney owns Marvel, so they own the rights to Spider-man, the comic version. Sony owns the TV and Movie versions, which is why there has not been a crossover with x-men/Spidey/Avengers, Fox owns X-men. Sony doesn't have parks, so they hooked up with Universal when it came to the Islands of Adventure. It's all a big ball of wibbley-wobbley, comicy womiky stuff.

OK. Now all y'all are just piling on and getting mean. Show some mercy.

For (mostly) Cody's benefit: The posts I was commenting on have since mysteriously disappeared (or not so mysteriously). I was in no way commenting on the Disney/Marvel Comics explanation.

I was referring to the barrage of "Mach Chariot," "Roman Cradle," etc. (I just made those up, BTW.)

This is not true. I hate to hijack the thread, but I must.

Universal has the rights to all things Marvel (comic, movie, TV verisions) for use in their parks east of the Mississippi, and more specifically 250 miles radius from IoA until 2050, when their contract with Marvel expires. Then Universal has first dibs to renew before anyone else, including Disney. West of the Mississippi, Disney may use the Marvel characters. That's why when Disney wanted to promote The Avengers by installing a skin on it's monorail for use in WDW, only monorails that went around the resort and did not enter the parks in any way were allowed to have the skin on it. Disney can do whatever they want with Marvel in California, but currently have no idea where to put the characters because they don't really fit in any of the CA parks.

And for SnG's, here is the original contract from 1994.

So I take it nothing was announced for Killarney?

Not sure it's all that bad. I think any hopes of 2014 were overly optimistic given that it looks like they might be building something from the ground up it's seems more likely for 2015 if they do anything. Seems unlikely to me that they will announce anything till everything is in place and they are ready to get seriously started. As bad as the current situation it would be worse for the park to announce something early and find out that they can't get the permanents or something to build it. Not saying that is the case just crossing my fingers and trying to be optimistic.

New here, but a longtime lurker...talking to one of the employees yesterday, and he expected EITA to be back. Thought that was weird after all i've read here.

If that employee was a regular Joe and not either management or maintenance then the Dip pin Dots guy is selling large cups 75% off.

He wasn't a regular joe, different uniform and all; he was apparently watching someone's kid so they could ride Verbolton. He was also talking about the funhouse that used to be there.

Let's put it like this, sources told me, Europe in the Air is closed indefinitely. Not just for the summer and fall, or just for the rest of 2013. Indefinitely.
