It's interesting to me that they stayed on the EiTA webpage that the ride was closed for the remainder of 2013. They could have just said it was closed. Could this imply that it's not closed forever? Also they could have removed it from the list of attractions altogether but they didn't. That's interesting too.

Here in Tampa, they have the three kiddie rides that are in the Falcon's Fury construction zone marked as being closed through December 31st. But since construction isn't expected to wrap up until sometimes Spring 2014, it's highly unlikely those rides will reopen on January 1, 2014. Just because it only says it's closed for the rest of 2013 doesn't automatically mean it's reopening.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away the area had a "fun house" type attraction that was rather trippy. It had mirrors and weird mushrooms and was completely appropriate 70's man; can ya dig it?

However it did not last long and Turvey Manor became and Arcade for many years. Briefly a recording studio was added beside the arcade (where starbucks cofe - Annie's cafe is now) Grogan's is pretty much part of the Arcade building. Questar was built around the standing building, then King Arthur's Challenge, then Corkscrew Hill, then Europe in the Air and now - da da duh.....!!! Nothing.

Maybe it could be called "The Nothing" and reference the Neverending Story. You could have Falcor perched on top of the tower and every once in a while he screams ATREYU!

Now enjoy this rendering~ I was laughing as I made this.

Nora is correct concerning the history of Turvey Manor Fun House. The ride queue, pre-show/loading areas, and simulator ride rooms for Questor, and the other later iterations of the motion simulator, were additions built behind the building that was formerly Turvey Manor | Arcade/Recording studios and the restrooms. Turvey Manor only lasted for 5-6 years and was replaced by the Arcade by the 1981 or 1982 season.

Concepts should be left to concept sections.

This isn't a concept thread, concepts are what you want to happen to an area or ride. However, there is no guarantee that what you plan might happen. This is in rumors because we know a replacement has to come sometime. Wether it comes 5 years from now or only 1 or 2. But we know it is coming sometime in the future.
Atlantis I didn't want to effend you, but I just wanted you to know why this is in rumors.

You are sorely mistaken with "one has to come."

With what looks to be setting up for BGW, I highly doubt everything that has been stated about EitA being replaced or returning next year. Set your calendars to 2015 at the earliest.

Well it has to some time, they can't just leave the building vacant forever. Or possibly they just might open EITA again Next year. Unless you're 100% sure that they are never going to replace it with anything, then I'm keeping this thread in rumors.

They do not HAVE to put anything. Oh they took Drachen out and nothing was put there. I thought they HAD to put something there. Pointless rumor thread is pointless. Go ahead and start a rumor that Transformers will be built here. It is on the same pace as this thread.

Awww come on. Europe in the Air is gone. I think this may be the perfect thread to discuss what it may become or the reasons it may have been removed. Perhaps when the park announces "something" of a new ride- we can move this to a concepts thread. :)

I must be the only person in the world who didn't like Corkscrew Hill. Something was off on the projectors; the picture never synced up well for me and made me nauseous. King Arthur had that problem, but not as obvious. Nothing will beat Questor.

I blame my in-laws for EitA's closure. It seems anytime they like a restaurant or ride, anyhwhere, it gets closed a few months later. They just moved to the area and have fell in love with the park. Their curse better not cause the downfall of BG! :p

RE: Europe In The Air

With the budget cuts going around the park, the park doesn't have the money to build a film and program and (hopefully) re-theme the building. So it is highly unlikely that we will see an attraction inside of EitA next season.

They should have a "come pay to piss on the ashes of EitA" attraction next season. I would gladly pay extra to participate.

You're not! I hated it as well.

And agree with you on Questor!

You can imagine my hate for Elmo using up all that valuable space instead of putting Enchanted Laboratory back in there where it belongs...That was a fun show. :)

As far as EitA goes, BURN BABY BURN.....They can still turn it into a very good movie ride simulator so long as they FRIGGIN UPGRADE the projector so it doesn't blur the screen and SYNC UP the movement correctly with the action on the screen already!

Do those things & I could care less if they put the Teletubbies in....(Okay, maybe I would)

Wait a tic...Just had a really cool idea...

What if they took every ride BGW has and "simulate" them?

This would be a fantastic way for many people who are either not able to physically ride the rides, are too small to ride them, or are too scared to ride them, to actually get to experience these rides!

^Disney pateneted the roller coaster simulator :(. I wish they would do the same thing, since I am afraid of Griffon (I know, I'm a wimp. :p)

I don't think they have...there's a roller coaster simulator ride at my local Chuck E Cheese that draws off this very concept...You just pick whatever ride you wanna "ride" and off you go!
