Recently they have only been running the right-side bay. That one differs slightly from the left bay. It does way more violent shaking (or "turbulence" as they call it) rather than mimicking the movements smoothly.

I think if they decide to keep it another year, they should at least revert to the original programming which felt more like flying. I just think that a certain new-comer in 2011 took the complaints of the ride being "boring", and chose the wrong solution. Simulating "turbulence" did not make the ride more thrilling, it just became less enjoyable, in my opinion. They also need people who actually enjoy rides to make these decisions.

Actually, I rode both sides of Europe in the Air on Friday. Which says that they do use both sides, but maybe one just broke down that day and they started using type other.

I'm not sure if that was intended in the direction that I'm thinking, but it made me laugh nonetheless. I know quite a few people in upper management in SeaWorld parks that just grin and bear it.

I'm not sure how this works, but apparently certain classifications are expected to ride experience whatever, whether they like it or not. My sources are Carl Lum, Donnie Mills, and certain other execs. Does anybody think they can elaborate on this process?

You guys still ride this thing? I rode it once the year it opened and quickly forgot about its existence.

Same here. I rode Corkscrew Hill on every visit. I have ridden EitA a grand total of once, and that was plenty.

I wish they'd drop this whole modern Europe vibe and get back to doing Old Europe myths, legends, and history.

I'd follow that up with a "but that's just my opinion," except I'm pretty sure that's most everyone's opinion.

All For One. Boom! (Points to my signature.)

To clarify: I actually think your "wish" will become more fulfilled as AFO improves. Europe In The Air on the other hand, probably just won't work that way.

Imagine if the Anheuser-Busch sale had never occurred. We would still have this attraction in some form, but I have heard that those original plans were even more modern than what we have now. At least we still have a castle setting for EITA. It just makes the whole thing look that much more cheap versus having a full re-theme, in my opinion.

I heard so many rumors about EITA before they left I still remember someone in Ireland told us they were getting a Soarin' style simulator except over Europe. Sadly, while the footage over Europe was in the final project, the new simulator was not.

Just wondering if any BGW exec is reading this I would like to point out that I have not been on this attraction since Illuminights 2012. Does anyone even remember Illuminights, or should I even mention it's name?

I still remember being here opening day and walking off assuming this ride was for an older crowd as my grandparents enjoyed the attraction opening year. Then one ride years later the projectors were acting very strange and the movements at this point had added "turbulence" so instead of continuing on our day they thought that was enough.

The ride is a total charlie-foxtrot, not as bad as Wild Arctic but, still a mess. Only thing is no attraction has ever lasted more than 10ish years in the spot so I assume that this attraction is high on the chopping block as it deserves to be.

Enough with my rant, I love the park yet, I do not love Europe in the Air.

I think EITA is closed until after Howl O Scream. Went today and there was benches etc blocking the entrance with a sign saying something along the lines of "Please excuse EITA and allow us to work on Howl-O-Scream"

It is closed during Howl O Scream because there is usually a haunted house located in there with it being Uneartherd: Scarlett's Revenge this year and the year before that.

Awesome! Last year, I think during Christmas Town, my girlfriend and I found some UNEARTHED Pint glasses for a good deal I think they were on sale and we bought them, so we were really hoping that "Scarlett's Revenge" would return because the employees told us all about it and it sounded sweet. That makes sense now about it being located in Europe In The Air's location because I think that's where we found the pint glasses that were on sale, in Ireland.

I've been hearing a lot about 2017 being EITA last year of operation and I found that questionable as I feel as if every year is the last year.

So, I decided to sleuth around and I found out that EITA is not on the BGW site list of rides and from another source (wow I sound really reliable) that EITA is not staffed for 2017 at the moment.

So, I guess you lucked out Zach.

I have also heard things about EITA from a source close to the park. i expect it to be announced at PMPD considering EITA is more than likely gonna be closed during the 2017 season. i'm guessing we might as well kiss Unearthed goodbye too.

I'll get the wine glasses out if this turns out to be true. :)

So this is a very intriguing as scenario we have here. Let's just say that EitA is closed for the year in prep for this rumored 2018 ride. That is a lot of prep time for a new motion sim. Even though it's the year after a coaster, I think there's a real chance that they might do something very new.
