I smell copyright infringemt.
I smell a cool ride. It won't be copyright infringement if they didn't copy the same thing that Disney did. I still would love to see corkscrew hill back any day if they redid it with a twist.

If the park uses the word 'soarin' in the name if the ride, it will scream out a cheap rip off of disney's ride. Just think of all the people whomwould give it disney standards and when it doesnt meet up to it, people will ignore it worse than they do now. Or they will look at it and say its Busch trying to copy someone else. The park is known for its originallity and thus needs to be different than Soarin in all aspects. Plus I am sure Disney copyrighted that name.

Still, the ride itself ideally is already set up like Soarin, it just has a different type of seating arrangement. The problem is they need to gut the seating and put in an all new system and then fix up the video and audio and finally theme the queue and ride area.

I also believe the thread should say Simulator Ride instead of Dark Ride. When I hear dark ride, I think of a moving car on a track through a series of scenes. Where a simulator keeps you stationary in one room like a theater.

I agree with you. I think it should say Simulator Ride not a Dark Ride.

The simulator system that they're currently using is ancient. Just guessing here, but I don't see it outlasting Europe in the Air. When EitA's time comes (hopefully soon!) I imagine it'll be the end of the ride system as well.

I agree with you that the simulator system is ancient and out of date. But think they will replace it with a newer simulator system when EitA's time comes.

Honestly, that whole section of the park needs an anchor. As far as rides go, there's only one thing between Loch Ness Monster and Griffon: Europe in the Air. By the way, Europe in the Air is specifically listed in the park's current guest surveys. If you're ever offered the opportunity to take one, do it.

Ireland's bordered by the England lot, the Wild Reserve, and a huge ravine, so unless they get rid of the river or expands into the England lot, it'll be difficult to build anything bigger than a motion simulator.

A dark ride is possible if the EITA building is large enough to accomodate one.

I could see the england parking being demolished and ireland being expanded. The park has a lot of lots and one going wouldnt be a problem

I doubt it, the parking lot is used for buses and Platinum Pass Holders, plus the parking lots get pretty full enough as is, then with an expansion, crowds should increase in size. You can't take away parking and add more space for more people when you limit the space they can park.

I forgot that is where buses and plat passes park. is there any location where they could build a new lot for those?

That's actually overflow preferred parking. Platinum pass holders don't get to automatically go there.

Platinum holders may enter through the employee entrance and park in England at any time, unless the park has to reserve England for a large number of tours buses.

I doubt it. Those projectors are anything but cheap. The attraction has fallen flat on its face though. Even on packed days, you hardly ever see a line.
