If only they had made it longer, more immersive and *spooky*...

That pic is beautifully awesome  !

I know this has nothing to do with the conversation. I just wanted to state, I haven't ridden this ride in 2 years due to those water gun things. If I wanted to get soaking wet on a ride, then I would get on roman rapids

I think it is absolutely absurd to complain about getting wet on a water based ride. You see water, expect to get wet. Regardless of what happened in the past or is planned for the future, if it is a water based ride expect to get soaked. Why do you think just because you could in the past means you should be able to now? Things change all the time. Plus that is like asking for water to drink but you don't want the water to touch you. Seriously, water based ride = wet always. Don't complain, especially since you know it is going to happen. Gah, I think it is over the top insane how people people complain so much about getting wet on water rides.

My only complaint about it is, I personally don't want to walk around an amusement park all day completely drinched with water sloshing around in my shoes. It's not water country, that's why I never ride roman rapids. I liked how you got wet, but not soaked. And now since they added the water guns, you get drinched, and you're basically soaked the rest of the day. I'm not complaining about getting wet, I'm complaining about how I think it's unnecessary to have the water guns

^^^ If you don't want to walk around in sloshing shoes then don't wear shoes, wear flip flops. And if you don't want to pay for the family dryers there is a 73 mph ride right around the corner. I'm sure that can get you acceptably dry.
And what I do on Pompeii is just duck when the water guns come and that protects me fairly well. And if you have room move over really quickly before the water hits you. It's not like those restrains are keeping you from moving.

Usually on the visits where I would walk around and sit waiting in lines and such, I would usually get burnt and I would love walking around with wet clothes all day with the sun burn. When I get burnt, I usually get close to getting sun sick (and yes I wear sun screen). Since I frequent KD over BGW, I usually just go ride Drop Tower, I305, ect. and I get decently dry quick.

Yes, clearly no one should complain if the ride operators on Le Scoot start dumping buckets of water over guests heads before they're allowed to exit the ride. There's no reason I should come off Escape from Pompeii (or any water ride at a theme park) looking like I've just been attacked by Poseidon. If you really want to get that wet and walk around in drenched clothes all day may I recommend wearing normal clothes to Water Country? You'll get an identical effect.

That's the best summary of my thoughts on the water soakers. I would almost be willing to pay 5 dollars for them to turn those off when I ride. LOL. If then if then I still get a little wet, I just shrug it off. I loved to be able think of the ride as a game of whether or not I would get wet. Now I just know with 99% certainty that the game is going to end with H2O, so I don't bother.

So the park profits from the guns which ruined the ride in the first place and then I'm supposed to give them another $5 as further reward for ruining the ride? Yeah, no.
its a one time cost and u can enjoy without getting wet you can also buy them at a dollar store
