Sometime closer to Summer is the parks response to it being asked about on FB.
Curious if that's the standard for not opening until it's consistently warmer out, or if there's any renovation work being done given Intamin is in the park in general...
No it's normally open by now that just their current response to any questions about rides opening.
The sign received paint too. Hopefully it's not done yet though...The water is gone again today

Look to me that they've just given it some TLC and haven't finished yet. Hopefully.
Wow, great catch. Is the new one made out of fiberglass instead of stone/concrete like the old one? It looks more "plastic-y."
They need to find a way to age it fast. (Instead of which they usually do, just leaving it outside.)
I hear coffee and/or tea stains do wonders for faking age...
I have to admit that I prefer the broken-down look of the former sign, but I love seeing Busch keeping the park fresh so I’m not complaining! I do hope that they add “Escape from” to the top of the new sign, though.
I guess the fog effect is long gone from the sign....
I'm sure it's not that hard to put a fog machine back in there, but probably not considered a necessary expense
