Actually, Deadline takes up a very small portion of the downstairs area. It is mostly offices and such. You would not believe how small the space is for the maze.

I think Deadline should be increased in size. I'm not saying that it is too short or small as it is now, but an increase in length would be awesome. A long, kick-butt haunted house at Howl-O-Scream is just what they need! it could be the main attraction of the whole night! Just think of all the possibilities if they made the walk longer and scarier. I think I would practically pee my pants in a 30 minute long haunted house. :)

We don't need houses that last half an hour. We need houses that get people in and out quickly that provide good scares.

From underneath (in Deadline or the offices) you wouldn't see the effects. From up top (on the ride), probably the best ride you could ever hope for.

I was there this year with others and we filled every gun station and all out drenched a few boats. Lulz were had.

I hate the guns when its 60 degrees and raining, but i like it sometimes when its 90

But then its fun to squirt people when its 60, well worth $.25

Those guns are the reason why I have not ridden that ride since 2009.

I haven't ridden since 2007 because the ride is fairly uneventful and anticlimatic. But I guess it is very eventful compared to other Shoot the Chutes rides.

When riding up the ramp and just before the boat levels back down into the water entering the building we always yell "Pick up your feet!!!"
People who don't listen to always answer with a loud groan about 10 seconds later. LOL :D

I think Pompeii is on it's last leg, I honestly never see much of a line except for when it's 90 degrees or hotter, it breaks fairly often, and it's clearly the worst water ride in the park IMO. I'm not sure what you could replace it with and I'd want them to keep the structure so we can have Deadline their too. I like the idea of a journey to Atlantis ride or maybe a dark ride? any rumors about it being removed?

I also agree that Escape From Pompeii is in its last years. I would even bet that it was one of the locations considered for Griffon.

I just want them to keep the structure, it is used during Christmastown for the Polar Pathway and during HOS for Deadline, that's two huge attractions your losing if your going to put a coaster there. I would welcome a dark ride through Pompeii's ruins if they wanna stick with the Pompeii theme.

Just thought of something, if they expanded into the ravine, you could easily see the back of it from when you enter the tunnel in LNM. that could ruin the scenery of that ride and that would get a ton of people upset.
