Number 1 is the best... Look at how the guy in this video describes it

There is a real art to #1. It's best to do it on slower days when there aren't that many people at the cannons. Practice a few times to get the timing down. You want it to hit the nose of the boat and let the water soak every row.

Put your quarter in as they're coming down the chute. Then turn away, act disinterested, talk to someone. Hold your hands up somehow by motioning with them while talking, or just pretend to text. They think they're totally in the clear. (Note: guard your cannon out of the corner of your eye. Don't get too far away or someone else might jump on it.)

Once the boat passes, wait for it to hit it's mark before bringing your and down to the button. Then...wham! :D

Good times.

These are new, they're scattered throughout the area.

Actually, those boxes have been there since the start of the season. Their main purpose to to hide the pipe except for the top spouts for the water shooters while adding to the theme of the ride. New this season, but here since PD.

The annoucement at 1:52 disagrees with your permission disclaimer. LOL.

It was probably a Team Member who was not informed he had permission. Therefore, the Team Member who would follow normal rules and make such announcement.
He could have gotten permission from a supervisor and if the supervisor notified all Team Members working that ride, they would know and let it go.

I believe if you watch later he says "wait, wait, ohhh" like he saw it, then was informed it was allowed by phone/other team member and left the microphone on... or he saw another person on the ride filming with a cell phone or a non-approved camera and they put it away when he said that... plus, if he was talking to my friend (who is the one who has made all of the POV's I have posted) they would have stopped the ride to talk to him

Actually, Deadline takes up a very small portion of the downstairs area. It is mostly offices and such. You would not believe how small the space is for the maze.
