Now there's rumors that this will be Medusa's last year, which just seems crazy to me given it's now the only full circuit, large looping roller coaster at the park and is fairly reliable.
These rumors came from an EastCoasters tweet that was deleted shortly after. I wouldn’t put too much stock in it, rumors about Medusa have been around since like 2014.

Medusa has ALWAYS been considered for removal simply because of its location and that it could be relocated anywhere with a flat piece of land.

This. Especially if they get rid of the Northern Star Arena, that opens up a nice chunk of land to build a major coaster to bring people to that section of the park.
Wasn't there rumblings of some kind of hyper/giga that was going to replace the arena the other year? Weren't they already clearing some land by the arena for it, then Selim canceled it?

It would make more sense to narrow the footprint of the park at this point. After years of expansion, the middle of the park needs the added attractions.
I would love a retheme to the Joker (or its removal) and an opening of the lakefront. I always thought that the space where fort Independence was could be so much better utilized.

A retheme would be fine, there are better uses of resources in my opinion but I can see the logic. A removal, however? It’s got a really nice position on the lakefront and looks great at the end of the main street when you first walk into the park. Nothing wrong with the ride experience either

That is my main concern with CF, they double talk about growing the park when they really just want to downsize it. I seen other people comment that all the legacy SF parks except GAdv are getting improvements.

I agree, and I feel like the new Six Flags management will focus more on original names and going back to old themes. There's a lot of history at Great Adventure they could tap into.

The Joker is such a fitting name for a free spin though. If they want to get away from DC IP, change it to the playing card.

I still think the most logical step the park could make is to relocate (or just remove) Joker and turn the whole Lakefront from the Fountain to BBNP into the kids area of the park and then Yum Yum would be the center of it all. Centralizing the kids area works well for events like HitP, and means it would be easy to close off during Fright Fest with limited access points.

The one thing I dislike about BBNP is how it blocks the lakeside walkway which used to be a second major path to cross the entire park.

I will probably get flak for saying this, (but I get flak here anyway), but I would not be surprised if the Flash only lasts a few years before its relocated to another park. It just has that short term vibe to me.

I hope all the DC rides are gone from almost all of the parks. IPs at regional parks should be reserved for kid’s areas. Let the Disneys and Universals handle IPs, and focus on themes that can be more successfully executed at lower budgets. Superhero theming feels like a cop out bc they’re never actually themed to superheroes.

If nothing else, at least contain them to one area. Enough with the Great Adventure model of “fuck you here’s Superman on the midway. Green Lantern too”
