I kinda disagree. They may not be able to respond directly, but they have a huge platform from which to provide information.

On a side note. I wouldn't want to be that TM right now. TMs aren't supposed to post pictures like this for a reason. He's going to certainly be in some trouble.

Im not sure they are as strict on it as they once were. I know of a few that for well over a year have posted photos and live videos from around the park in the off season as well as before opening for the day. One in particular posted quite a few photos of FF while being built. The posts are very easily identifiable because they narrate them as to what they are doing.

I think that's a BGW Social Media team problem to not ensure the post was properly explained. Like even if it's someone else post, they need to correct wrong comments.

I don’t think they “need” to do anything in this case. It’s some random post in a private group where a few people are confused. Those people will figure it out when they visit BGW and Wirbelwind is still there.

Of course, a post explaining the maintenance that goes into Der Wirbelwind would be interesting, but it’s not really necessary to respond to anyone here.

So my kinda $0.02 to this, not knowing this group or anything like that; but BGW keeping tabs here and 'taking it out' on BGWFans, then not caring about something like that is a little backwards to me. Like I know there's a few parks that actually share their offseason maintenance work updates so when a picture gets out there like that, they have social meqiaout there of what's really going on.

I’d say it’s not really the same as BGWFans since BGWFans provides either leaked info or critiques of the park to a large audience, whereas this is just a few misinformed people on Facebook commenting on an easily-debunked problem.

As for the leaked info - ever since I've been a ParkFans member, most of what I've seen is pulled from JCC which is public record.

As for the critiques - isn't the possible spreading of a falsity of a ride being removed is worse than a constructive criticism? I feel like it is, especially with how positive BGWFans can be quite often.

The difference is park fans goes out of its way to hunt down any information about rides/shows, etc. that haven't been announced yet and the park doesn't want people to know.

This is just some small minor thing; while they may care, park fans is the bigger fish to fry.

Back to the ride being taken down for maintenance - I'm really curious what the internal guts on this thing look like.

Otherwise, I'd assume the paintings and whatnot get refreshed?

Yeah, that's been there forever - but good for your picture to point out it's from a hybrid if Zierer and Shwarzkopf
Anton's brother worked for Zierer. While there was almost certainly informal cross-work this has nothing to do with the Schwarzkopf coasters at a legal/business level -- at least not at the time they were built. When Schwarzopf ended Zierer did end up with a very small percentage of the company's assets IIRC but the majority of everything went to Maurer and Gerstlaurer. I do believe that there were times that Schwarzkopf )the company) and Zierer partnered on some rides but when it comes to the Wave Swinger, the design was Franz's and the production was Zierer in all cases.
