I can't take these "puns" anymore! I can't take it!

So lets play a game. We all know the ride system is totally dynamic and customizable. They designed it to allow them to switch out scenes and what not. What would a DarKastle: II kind of story be like in your opinion. Star Tours II at the Disney parks comes to mind for me, they updated an old ride and made it totally unique and awesome again.

I don't think it would be all that difficult to have DarKastle have alternate scenes and things like Star Tours, it would increase re-rideability if the scenarios and story changed a little bit each time.

I'm weird, but I want darKastle to be scarier. I want it to scary me so much that I won't be able to sleep. Right now it's scary for little kids, but I want it to be scary for adults too. Also, more effects. I like having rides that have real effects along with the animated show. Also, as said, more shaking and movement!

During Haunts it should be re-programed to be terrifying and not kid friendly. I do not know how they storyline switching works, but if it can be done on the fly, perhaps before 5 it could be the standard stuff and then at night not silly.

DarKastle ver.2:

You get rid of that break after the sleigh falls, and before the final scene of being outside the gates. It is the biggest immersion breaker imo. I loathe that section so much. It's like scenes are happening, we're moving around quickly, action, action, action, SUDDENLY BLUE TREES.

That's all I want. I want those trees gone. Oh and updated animation. Mostly the texture work, and for it to be in HD.

I love your suggestions. However, I do think the trees have a legit place in the story line. Remember that the castle is deep in the black forest, and the next scene you're outside the castle walls, because he tries to get you, but he freezes because he can't be outside the castle walls. The trees and the "AAAWWWW" audio is meant to represent that you're now outside the walls of the castle, in the black forest, and you're safe.

It may be an action breaker, but it's definitely not a story breaker. It helps the story, in fact. Honestly I like that part, but there's going to have to be a pause there anyway, because it has to let the vehicle get to the next scene, so at least your looking at something during that pause, instead of there just being nothing. It's practically impossible to eliminate that pause, so you're hoping for something that just can't happen. Now, if only they could fix the candles on the trees....

In a way, I have to agree with Applesauce. Those actually are not meant to be trees. They are cavernous walls. They are based on the fact that the real King Ludwig had beautifully candle lit caverns, and he would go on a boat down there alone. I will try to make a point of writing a more extensive report later. Anyway, it really doesn't make sense that you are in caverns one second, and then outside the walls the next second. Also, for whats it's worth, the park built the sets in house with very minimal outside help, and I like that set, but it doesn't fit. Here's a photo of one without paint.

If the scene were ever reworked and the cavern sets were removed from the ride, I wonder if they could be worked into the exit pathway somehow. Since you go down the exit ramp into a little room, it could actually fit the theme somewhat. I agree that the sets are really cool, so maybe this way they wouldn't be put to waste.

Out of everyone I know personally who has been on the ride, and I bring up that section, they all say it's a bad spot. That suddenly the story is interrupted. I'm well aware what the purpose of it serves, as I said before. That doesn't mean I have to like it. I just find that spot to be very jarring, with little to no explanation as to what it's supposed to be, and why it's there. (Despite the fact that I've been on this ride far too many times to count, and I know the exact purpose of that section.)

I don't mind having a pause, I just want it to look like something more relevant to the story. After all that's where the music sort of climaxes before leading into the victory!! part of the song. And it's like "Oh boy the music is reaching it's highest point and-!!... caverns that look like trees. Okay."

Actually, watching the video CastleOSullivan posted that part does make a bit more sense. But the timing is sort of off. When you're in the sleigh you don't get to see the part where you fall even farther, which would make the caverns make sense. All you see is things cracking and then your whipped around. But even still, how did we make it beyond the castle walls? I could see it, if you turned around and there was the wall that looked like an open gate and some brick work to make it look like castle walls. But instead they have Ludwig bursting through the gate.

In any case, I don't like the cavern, I feel it's a story and action breaker. You, however, do like it, that's all there is to it. I won't drag this out any farther than it already has.

That would have made a fantastic set piece for the DarKastle based house that supposedly was put on the back-burner, only to become "Masquerage', which also never fully developed.
