I know many of you have been mentioning June 15th as some sort of "target date" when some restrictions might be lifted for VA, but up here in Ohio we were all quite shocked to hear our governor suddenly announce that all restrictions will be lifted June 2nd yesterday in a press conference. In between now and then there is a new push to get vaxed, including a lottery for 12-17 year olds (weekly drawings for a full-ride to any Ohio college/university) and a lottery for 18 + ($1 million!)...these drawings will be held for 5 consecutive Wednesdays starting May 26th. My wife and I are fully vaxxed, and our 13 year old daughter is getting shot #1 next week, so I guess we're in a lottery-like-no-other.
Here is a curious case to watch. Hersheypark, as of 2 hours ago, said (because of the new CDC guidelines)
said masks and social distancing will no longer be required for the fully vaxed. Up until that announcement the guidelines were very similar to BGW.
What they don't say is how this is going to be regulated; that will be the interesting part to watch, as well the ripple effect these new guidelines will have on parks across the country.
