Sorry...when you say stuff like that, nobody believes it. Somehow everyone else manages to find them a vast majority of the time but you can't find one. ok.

One of our members was literally asked by park staff to leave a line this weekend because they were maintaining 6 feet from the group in front of them. I can’t imagine a more clear example of these issues than that. Just because you haven’t seen something doesn’t mean that the personal experiences of many people here didn’t happen.

lol bro I cant with this...you do you man. This is just too dramatic to even bother with.

Then don’t respond, bro.

The last few pages only affirm my initial instinct to stay away from BGW and this serves as evidence that I'm not going to SEAS parks anytime soon.

I went to BGT in January and would have turned around and went home had it not been so dead. Terrible enforcement. Staff and parkgoers alike blatantly not following the rules. After I went through the turnstile to get in, it was obvious all the new regulations were for show.

Good to know it's a company problem and not just a BGT problem.

Companies rot from the head down. It's silly to expect a corporation who's only concern is to make money to give one iota of a shit about your well-being; however, you think they would at least pretend to try.

While I can't speak from personal experience about BGT's practices, from what I've seen in YouTube videos and social media, that park has been markedly worse at enforcement from the start. While I personally had a few extremely worrying experiences at BGW, overall our time there since August has been relatively good, up until this past weekend at least. Guests mostly are good at self-enforcing, and the staff in my personal experience is pretty good at checking people on poor physical distancing/poor mask use. The exceptions here though, have been alarmingly bad.

This past weekend seemed like a turning point toward BGT style lax safety measures.

Two how many have even noticed the reduction of cart cleans an surfaces at stores or is it just parks that you are watching and carrying about?

I've only been shopping at Publix because they still do it. Worse case Food Lion is keeping wipes at the entrance stocked. Kroger near me isn't doing anything.

read better bro.

She said she didn't find a SINGLE line.

Of course there are examples where social distancing isnt happening.

But to say that you didn't see a single time where rules were being followed lolol ok.

So, is there like another ground to be had here. My guess is I'm not the only one of my kind, but definitely in the minority here. I don't need to state all the reasons I love BGW, I'm 2.5 hours away and in a normal year I'm still there multiple times a month. When this all started, and they stated to pay memberships and then they would defer, that was the correct move. Because in the fall of 2019, I upgraded to a platinum membership, I was caught in the middle. Not a new membership, but I had to finish out my contract because technically it was a "new" contract. Okay, fine with me, I did that. I'll get my year later, I thought.

I, however, and you can take this for what it's worth, do not want to wear a mask around outside all day. I am not worried about catching COVID (not trying to start a debate), but, I have found my enjoyment for anything when I have a mask on diminishes greatly. Call me a baby if you will or whatever you want, that is just me.

What I am not happy about, however, is that BGW will not continue to defer or refund my membership, or refund the all-season dining plan I purchased, when I will not be using these while the mask mandate is in place. Again, they can choose to set their own rules, I know they're a private entity, and it is what it is. But, from a business perspective, it would make sense to understand individual customers and future purchases. If they would help me here, I guarantee as soon as we're normal-ish, I would immediately get new memberships for my family and be back. But if I have to eat two dining plans and a platinum membership without using, I certainly won't be able to justify coming back.

I'm just incredibly frustrated at the customer service here, for a park I truly love.

I am on record from the start of all of this advocating for parks offering people the ability to pause their passes until all COVID restrictions are gone. The fact of the matter is that—no matter your beliefs about COVID—no one who had a pass prior to this time last year signed up for 12 months of wearing masks, social distancing, severely limited ride, show, and dining selection, etc. The park, as it is currently available, is simply not what was advertised to guests when they bought their passes pre-COVID.

I do think this is a severe issue that has been largely under-reported and underappreciated. Even ignoring comfort and amenity availability issues, I've heard from multiple BGW members who are in high risk categories for severe illness who really (rightfully in my opinion) feel completely screwed by the park here. The CDC, their doctors, etc are telling them that they should not visit a place like BGW right now, but BGW isn't offering any accomodation to their issue—they're paying for a product that they can't use. It's a really bad situation and the simple reality is that BGW has done nothing to address it.

For what it is worth, I went to BGT and SWO over the Summer and they weren't enforcing any COVID restrictions at all then either. In fact, I decided not to return, until I get a vaccine, because I clearly can't trust those parks to provide a safe environment.

BGW, however, was doing a fairly good job until recently. I have no idea if corporate culture or pressure have anything to do with the problems we seem to be seeing now, but I don't think it is fair to assume it is necessarily systemic.

Yes I am calling you a liar. I do not think you went the entire day without being in a line that had correct social distancing.

You said "I also did not find myself IN A SINGLE socially-distanced queue. "

That did not happen.

I actually have no idea how to respond to this. You have no way of knowing what I did or what I experienced. I can only assume you are just trying to be insulting and rude, because you think you achieve something that way.

I did not lie and I do not appreciate your attacking my character and integrity. You have no evidence to prove otherwise, so please move on.

No. I said, "I also did not find myself in a single socially-distanced queue." I did not say, "I did not find a single line." Those are different. I was not attempting to report on any line that I was not, myself, standing in.

What I find the most ironic in all of this:

you and Zachary are allllll up in arms about how dangerous BGW is making the park. How they are “Luring people in with the promises of safety” are whatever BS dramatic line he used.

yet you STILL keep going and STILL stood in those lines.

makes a person think that you’re just looking for a reason to complain about something you don’t actually care about in order to make yourself look better? It’s a weird flex.

hmmmm

Or maybe folks are critically thinking about what they're observing, and you're being a prick in attacking that they're expressing their thoughts instead of actually contributing anything meaningful?

I went to BGT and SWO without any idea of what I would find. I left both fairly quickly, because I was uncomfortable. I provided that information at the time to warn others and shared it now to defend BGW. I'm not sure how any of that leads you to the conclusion that I was looking for something to complain about.

I have consistently reported on how well or badly BGW has done throughout the COVID operations, once again to help others decide if they want to go to the park. I try to go at least once for each event, because of my role on BGWFans. I haven't gone to the park much beyond that, because I see no reason to expose myself to a pandemic unnecessarily. Once again, I'm not sure how my sharing my experiences in the context of the discussion about COVID at BGW on a Forum dedicated to BGW and KD possibly demonstrates any self-promoting intent.

What I can't understand is why you continue to attack Zachary and me personally? What are you expecting to achieve?
