I believe it’s a simple response to CDC info. The reduced social distancing recommendations,
This statement is false.
The CDC still recommends 6 feet:
COVID-19 and Your Health
Symptoms, testing, what to do if sick, daily activities, and more.

As you personally force me to say over and over, getting a shot next month doesn’t affect my behavior today. I am not less likely to contract the disease now, because I will be vaccinated in the future. Furthermore, since I don’t know the other guests in the park, I have no way of knowing if they are vaccinated or just science deniers. What I do know is that scientists are still trying to determine how likely you are to be able to spread COVID after you are vaccinated, so it seems like a stupid risk to take.
COVID-19 Vaccination
COVID-19 vaccines protect against COVID-19. Get safety info and more.

This comment sounds profoundly narcissistic. And as we have come to expect from you, it also includes unsubstantiated claims about other people’s beliefs and motivations.
What you seem to be saying is that anyone who is following the scientifically-driven guidance from public health experts should be locked down, while those who ignore the data being provided by the CDC should be able to go do whatever they want? So, you wish to punish those who are following the rules and create more work for our already-exhausted frontline health workers?
Additionally, anyone who has been paying any attention for the last year already knows how things “turn out.” There is no logical way to claim in March 2021 that we don’t know what happens when groups of people ignore the guidelines,
Once again, people are following the guidelines for a variety of good reasons:
- To protect everyone around them by taking simple measures to slow the spread;
- To help prevent the healthcare system from being overwhelmed;
- To protect themselves from a disease that has already killed over half a million people, including some who were not in high risk categories;
- To make society safer for essential workers; and
- To attempt to be ethical and morale people who look out for the good of the group, rather than simply indulging their own selfish whims.

Please provide a credible source that actually supports this claim.
As a side note, I am very tired of having to waste my personal free time fact-checking people who make dangerous claims about a pandemic. More importantly, I know for a fact that our members are growing less and less patient with those who spam this Forum with divisive posts about COVID and politics. I think people have a right to discuss these topics, but I would prefer if everyone spent more time focused on the park. People come here to enjoy themselves, not to be insulted and inundated with partisan nonsense. There are online communities for these topics, please go seek them out and stop attempting to persuade people here to agree with your views.
