Just a reminder: All partial park reopening event discussion should go here.

This thread should be reserved for COVID impacts on BGW only (pass product discussion, park performance, Covid policies, etc.)

Everything depends on the success or failure of this initial run from what I’ve been told. If they don’t break even on the costs they’re incurring, they will not continue.

In other words, people need to buy food and merch at these things. Hopefully we’ll see more if it goes well.

I hope people don’t use the reservation to try to go in, use meal plan and drink plan, then go home after 45 minutes.

Would be nice if the refill plan was on the pass or a seperate card. Kinda silly to have to carry a huge plastic cup around just for the barcode.

I’d try and see if they will let you take a picture of it on your phone and scan it off of there.

@Gavin: are you getting that from the COVID page or somewhere else?

I am concerned that the health guidelines are a cut and paste job from SeaWorld, and may not entirely apply to us. Who knows if they have noticed the discrepancies, but according the BGW guidelines, "Depending on the ability to ensure physical distancing for guests and employees, certain components of parades and meet-and-greets, such as those involving guest interactions, character interactions and photo opportunities will be modified or removed." So, I am taking the rest of of with a grain of salt.

It’s all in the CCB FAQ.

I know KD let me do it and BGT did because I didn’t want to dig through my backpack every time for my pass.
My KD pass is in my "wallet" on my iphone and thats all I ever use for my drink refills at the park. Actually, I even use my apple watch for the pass to enter the park as well as drinks at KD. I also use the watch for park entry at BGW.

Honestly I do so much with that. My food lion card and other places that require cards, gym membership, and about 3 bank cards. I rarely need my wallet anymore.

edit:
I’m also very lazy so this helps and I’ve been doing it since I got my first iPhone pre-wallet days.

Its really nice at WCUSA park passes and apple pay and you dont need to carry anything else.

They were savvy in ensuring the times cleanly cross meal times, unless you prefer brunch or really early dinner times.

In theory they should be able to make money on the event, unless it gets overrun by members that decide not to spend a dime in the park. There are plenty of parks that exist at this size (e.g. most the beachfront parks) and those parks have been in business for decades.

With passes not actually starting back isnt the park still making money anyways, with passes being charged until the park fully opens?
