I’m assuming that when the current 12 month billing cycle is up that they will hold off charging until the timeframe is met.

Of course I have my other assumption that will be met with bitching but frankly it would be well within BGWs rights. They could say if you are on any grandfathered programs to redeem these COVID loss months you have to end your current plan and when you restart you have to get the plan at current rates.

The only way to properly do the all-season dining / drinks / stein club products would be to extend them through the end of 2021.
Any other way would punish the people that bought these products somehow.

How would we feel about them not working in 2020 at all? Is that a reasonable solution? They work all of 2021, but all season-long products remain suspended through the end of 2020? Maybe this is a good Fun Card solution as well?

I personally think that would be a good solution. Of course there’s some that will bitch and moan. But hopefully they just say tough shit then.

I think that could be a solution but they bc would have to giver each person the option to choose since they were purchased for the 21 season but unable to use them. I could see sone situations where people would just choose to use what ever they could in 2020.

Yeah, I think that's reasonable. Suspension through 2020 by default, but if someone just wants to "cut their losses," giving them the option to just use it this year anyway is the right thing to do—Guest Services can just invalidate the old plan on their account and issue a "promo" solution for the rest of this year instead.

It’s kinda why I’ve been promoting the “clock starts with first use of services” thought. Puts the choice in the hands of the person paying rather than the park picking for them.

I still think they ought to do a system that starts your plan for whatever it is (pass, membership, meal plan, drink plan, beer club) on the first time you use it in 2020. If you don’t, it automatically starts Jan 1st 2021 and basically you are prepaid for the 2021 year.
They still need to comp out 2 park members and fun cards (and probably platinum members for that matter) for WCUSA being closed while BGW is potentially open to use, and I don't think that calculation is as simple as the price difference between 1 and 2 park memberships.

If they start everyone automatically at some point, then they need to offer refunds for unused time to anyone who doesn't want to go to the park under the conditions that exist, and 2021 is yet to be a sure thing that masks and capacity restrictions won't still exist.

The more reasonable solution for dining plans and fun cards are just to do what Cedar Fair did and extend them all the way through 2021. It makes operations much easier and customers are all made whole regardless of what happens with the park in 2020.

They still need to offer refunds for anyone that can't/won't use them in 2021 (e.g. moving out of the area).

You are only referring to home park benefits? I am certain that I am not the only one who has used things like my member discounts and free preferred parking in 2020 at other SEAS parks.

I have also So do we get the extra months? I am curious to see how this unfolds
I really hope it does not screw up what ever they offer as a solution. Ive paid for the top tier of passes for at least 12-15 years or more just guessing off the top of my head and have only used SWO a few times and BGT once. We have them mainly for the preferred parking here. We also paid in full every year up untill the memberships were added so we always paid current pricing. I would hate to think the one yeat we finally get some use of th eother parks is the year it screws us.

Lots of questions answered in the FAQ

With the extended closure i sure hope they don't continue the upgraded status for 2021 as well. As a top tier holder, and big payer, i feel like my benefits were severely diluted. Especially the parking.

I think that would be an ok solution. Unless they massively upgraded their infrastructure since I left this would be a major headache for everyone including members when they go back for their visit but that isn't a reason to not do it.

My family dosent want me going to the park for like a week after they open so we can see how they are doing because 2 of them are pretty high risk unfortunately.
