- Table service only for food
I wonder what the reasoning is there.

Just a quick comment on masks, not trying to incite a fight, but requiring them all the time will create problems itself. As someone who has to wear one at work sometimes, walking miles and being active I can tell you it impacts you. Many Americans are not in good shape and struggle in the Florida heat already, adding a mask will make this worse.
I think strongly recommending is smart as it allows more flexibility. Also I can see requiring them for indoor attractions like shows and during parades and fireworks.
Another issue with requiring at all times is that it makes hydrating more difficult, which is again a danger in the heat. Just a couple considerations I thought I would share from my experiences.
Sadly the mask issue has become so politicized in this country.
Universal had released a proposed schedule a few days ago.I can imagine that Universal will most likely be approved for June 1st (soft openings) and then June 5th (to the public).
Those maks defeat the purpose of wearing a mask to protect others completely. Those masks have a one way flap that allows unfiltered un restricted exhalation but then closes on inhalation so as the air you breathe in is filtered to protect you. Yes you are wearing a mask but for no reason.@tursiops I just wanted to ease your concerns about difficulty breathing. There are masks that are available that have built-in vents for exhaling.
Cloth masks don't protect from exhalation either - the virus particles you breath out are much smaller than the fabric can stop. Most cloth masks and the exhaling masks can stop larger droplets from coughing/sneezing/spitting that are much riskier in spreading the virus. Those maks defeat the purpose of wearing a mask to protect others completely. I agree both types of masks are uselessin medical aplications however there is no data or ratings on homeade cloth masks so those cant even be considered. The vented n95 mask does have ratings. If you cough in a vented n95 those aerosolized airbourne particles go right through the vent.Cloth masks don't protect from exhalation either - the virus particles you breath out are much smaller than the fabric can stop. Again, if you have ever been part of a runDisney race registration you know how well their system works when its taxed. Heck just them sayig free dining can make phone wait times jump to multipul hours. I can not imagine their servers being able to handle the overload if they canceled all reservations and made everyone suddenly rebook. Also think of travel agents holding and managing reservations for numerous clients, who do they rebook first and who looses out. I in fact predict massive wait time the second a reopening date is anounced.@GrandpaD I specifically said it is likely they would be *approved*, I am fully aware of what was presented.
@WDWRLD I will say the amount and existence of reservations do make it more challenging for Disney; however, they can easily decide to cancel or rebook any reservation they see fit to do so in order to comply with whatever requirements they need to meet to reopen. So if that means all reservations must be rebooked in order to better fit their new capacity restrictions, they will likely have everyone who booked just rebook. And I would imagine, rebooking would be based on first-come first-served.
As for transportation to/from parks, I would assume it would work like everything else -- with physical distance between people and markings. The driver (bus), captain (boat), or pilot (monorail) cast member would likely be required to interact with guests in a way that loads them into the vehicle with plenty of space between people. As for long lines, depending on capacities and the actual number of people who are there, the lines may not really take that long. Yes the lines may appear longer, but that is just space between people. They would still be able to fit a fare number of people on the vehicles.
Also in regards to masks, there is a purpose in every mask. The end goal is to either protect yourself or protect others. Either way protection is happening. Also, the virus particles aren't aerosolized to the extent they can travel far. That is why you maintain a physical distance while also wearing a mask. Everything helps to reduce the possibility of transmission.
The vented N95 mask would stop the cough from spreading more than a few feet as the projectiles would be stopped or severely disrupted by the vent cover. This is pretty much the same with homemade masks for coughing - they disrupt the particles and keep the volume down to make it less concentrated, but the fabric density is often insufficient to stop cough droplets outright.I agree both types of masks are uselessin medical aplications however there is no data or ratings on homeade cloth masks so those cant even be considered.
