I wonder since kings dominion still has room from the old lion country safari site, maybe after king dominion handled the volanco & go karts/dinosaurs alive sites, maybe they can move the water slides from the theme park side water park to the old lion country safari site for future theme park expansion on the theme park side, I like to see a zamperla endeavor named after the old apple turnover ride
The amount of infrastructure needed for the water itself would make this cost prohibitive.

I think if they're gonna do anything with that land, they'd probably do a small flat package back there as part of Jungle X.

I think it's a great idea.

Is there enough room next to Delirium?
you know what, yes, there's are room, so I feel like they need add two more rights to that site, one could be a zamperla endeavor and The other could be a slingshot but after kings island removed one, I don't think kings dominion would get one

Yeah, upcharge attractions like slingshots are on their way out at paid-entry amusement parks. Six Flags America removed their skycoaster and put Harley Quinn Spinsanity, a similar ride type to Delirium. Ideally, I'd like Xtreme SkyFlyer, the skycoaster, to be removed, and Delirium relocated to that plot, so the Galaxi / Shockwave plot can have a coaster again.

Even if it’s a clone model, it would add more consistent motion to the plot. I almost want a gerstlauer infinity with a KCL lightning package for that spot. Think it would work really well.

this is a concept map of what kings dominion would have look like if paramount didn't go out of their way & drain the lake & instead used lion country safari area, you see, the water park would instead built in the lion country safari area, with the action theater, drop zone being built with the addition of the top gun jet coaster (volanco would still have happen regardless), apple turnover would been replaced by delirium & bad apple would been replaced by sledgehammer (like the one from canada's wonderland), shockwave site would been used for something like a zamperla disko like the one from kings island or valleyfair (though I didn't put it but imagine it), kings dominion's action theater would instead been used for paramount story walkthrough attraction like the one from kings island, so, what did you think

My dream is that they move the entirety of the water park to the south side of Racer and add a separate gated entrance. Then they can put dry rides in where the Original Hurricane Reef was, or they could bring back Lake Charles to it's prime. Either way, the Water Park isn't divided by a coaster, and folks that actually like that over chlorinated poop factory can have their own entrance and not have to trudge through the park to get there.

Totally get the germaphobia but...

For those of us who don't drink the pool water and trust that they're properly managing water filtration and chlorination (and balance, etc.), it's quite nice to be able to chill out in the water during the hottest parts of the day then dry off and hit some coasters without needing to go through the whole park entry lineup in between.

However, I think the general vision of adding an external gate and allowing for separate water park only ticketing would be a net positive.

I'd also like to see the dry park entrance aligned at the dead-end by TT, eliminating the water park and access from next to Victoria's. I'd imagine that'd also be more ADA friendly as it's not much of an elevation change like what currently exists.

As I come to acceptance with the B&M family invert coming to BGW in 2025, I turn my attention to dreaming of a suspended swinging coaster replacing Anaconda some time around 2027-2030. Just get Vekoma to make Vampire trains again.

I feel that an S&S Axis would be something that would be better for SFA than KD. The Axis trains also rotate on the heartline instead of overhead.

Saw a concept on Reddit for a train going between Old Virginia and Jungle X. Starting in the old Dinosaur's Alive/Go Kart area, going behind TT, then along Racer and the lake over to Backlot with a station around there. I love the idea but I don't think it would ever happen. I want Dinosaurs Alive's land to be utilized but I want minimum tree removal.

Fun fact, the maintenance building for the train is still back there. I would love if they brought it back, but it seems like it would be a massive project. I dont think it would be possible to follow the route you laid out. It would most likely have to go all the way around soak city and P305. Crossing access roads power lines, etc. I cant remember the last time a theme park train line being put in. Screenshot 2024-09-06 145317.png Screenshot 2024-09-06 144803.png

Any reason it can't cut between the TT overbank and water park, then run alongside Racer 75, before cutting under it to haveva station right between Anaconda's lift and P305's station?

I think it's pretty unlikely, but KD has been laser focused on nostalgia and overall guest experience in recent years, so I'd say it's more likely than it would've been in the 2010s. I bet it'd get solid ridership.

Don't see it happening except maybe as a really expensive sight-seeing ride (highly doubtful they'd invest in that) but not for transportation.

Unless they somehow either made a lot of large at-grade crossings or elevated the track, there's not really a safe way to cross through most of the developed part of the property.

I think the reason the BGW and CP railroad crossings work so well is they were designed into the basic path layout of each area, and each is in a relatively narrow part of the respective pathway - far easier to barricade and control to prevent guests from getting hit by the train.

I really want them to bring the skyride back. I think KD needs some sort of transportation ride, and sense the pathways restrict them from being able to add a proper railway around the park this is the next best thing!
As much as I wish they would do this, skyrides are slowly dying, and there aren't many modern manufacturers of them.
