Are there any announcements or is there any signage during this event regarding when Celtic Fyre will return next year? Could anyone going to the event ask Kevin if they see him. We unfortunately will not be able to visit the park this season. Hope y'all are enjoying the event!
It’s very unlikely that an opening date has been set for the show—way too much is up in the air right now.

I don’t want to alarm anyone—I expect Celtic Fyre to return—probably in 2021—but it’s almost certainly too early for an actual date.
It would be hard to pinpoint a date for any show next year until they know what operating might be like next year. Obviously they are hoping that they can open closer to normal next year than they currently are, but that is still too be determined

They still have the 10th anniversary signage up. Hopefully next year :(

As of now the park is turning away guests (or making them wait until people leave) because they've reached capacity. Not sure how that works with a reservation system... ?

This is surprising to hear: maybe the forecast pushed them to open up more member slots this morning thinking that there would be a lot of cancellations? Either way, another situation where a person who paid $45 is getting particularly screwed.

Honestly, glad they’re enforcing the capacity limit, though.

This is why a no-show penalty needs to be implemented. There are few things more anti-consumer than promising a product and not delivering said product at the last minute. People are driving a LONG way to this event—I’d be livid if my reservation period was consumed by having to wait at the gate after a multi-hour drive.

The Facebook update uses the phrase “cooking up something for September,” so it definitely implies food being a primary focus.

It certainly will be more food focused. I'm hearing it might be more like a particularly popular spring event than BierFest

Do we know if they are guests with a reservation or guests without reservations who are trying to get in?

This crossed my mind, but even if it was people without reservations, unless every reservation holder for that time had already arived and entered the park, wouldn’t letting people in still be taking slots from reservations? Maybe if reservations were only a guarantee of admission in the first hour of the time slot it would make the situation you’re describing more ok?

I'm not entirely sure. We asked the person at the exit gate when we were leaving why they had the entrance gates closed, and he just said they reached capacity and couldn't let anyone else in. It was just myself and my fiancée, and when we left two other people were let in. There were only two or three groups waiting to get in, but it seemed like there were still a lot of people trickling in, even almost halfway through the time slot.

It could be a possibility @Zachary but it could be possible they didn’t end up selling out and people rolled the dice or didn’t know about the system.

Of course this crossed my mind too:
We keep seeing random days and times open up, could it be that they are using real-time data to adjust how many reservations that they are taking? Ex if Friday had 1000 reserve and 800 show up, maybe they opened a few extra Sunday spots using that no-show data to anticipate how many extra they could sell.

Maybe the use of real time data is over BGWs head.

Someone in the Facebook groups suggested they opened Lorikeet Glen during the morning session as well?
